Good hotel with central location

I spent a night at the Sheraton Offenbach. After the warm welcome I was allowed to move into my newly renovated room. The rooms are very spacious, clean and the bed is super comfortable. The room features a high-quality coffee machine and a complimentary bottle of water. Breakfast was delicious (the Bircher cereal is a dream). The service is attentive, friendly and courteous.

Worst hotel I know

Food was insufficient. I had diarrhea after breakfast. At the next meeting there was coffee, drinks, and I asked for a peppermint tea because of my gastrointestinal issues; it was denied, saying they could not do that. The food in the evening was also insufficient, everything too dry, one was practically choking, especially in 42°C heat, and furthermore, the A/C was turned off during the meal, incredibly poor service. I have never experienced that before, not even elsewhere abroad.

Quiet

Check in was quick and friendly and the receptionist explained dinner and breakfast times. When I asked if he knew about train times he researched on the receptions computer for me and was very helpful. The train station outside the hotel, (1 minute walk) and takes 30 mins to airport. Our room was very comfortable and very quiet, spare pillows in the wardrobe. Water available, coffee machine. Free WiFi and easy to log in. A lovely beer garden seating area outside for a cool drink in the sun. Beautiful Busing Palais within the grounds. Nice setting, nice rooms, nice staff and a calm experience.

Comfort and good service near Frankfurt

We stayed at the Sheraton Offenbach Hotel and the experience was quite positive. The hotel stands out for its spacious and clean rooms, with very comfortable beds and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The staff was attentive and resolute, which always adds points. Also, the location is convenient if you want to move around the Frankfurt area without being in the center.
As less prominent points, the price can be somewhat high and the “communication” between the booking platform and its system, since neither I nor my colleagues had well the reservations. Still, it is a good option if you are looking for comfort and tranquility.

Run Away

A very poor experience from start to finish.
As soon as I arrived for check-in, the receptionist responded to my “hello” with a blunt “ID please.” It honestly felt more like going through border control than checking into a hotel.
I asked if my date modification had been processed without any additional fee, and I was told that it had been confirmed.
Then came the room: a dark, ground-floor room that felt very outdated. The bathroom was old-fashioned, some power outlets were barely attached to the wall, and the TV was so old that you have to wait about 30 seconds between pressing the button and the channel actually changing. There wasn’t even a coffee machine in the room.
The bar staff, however, were very friendly. Unfortunately, the snack served with drinks was a extremely salty soft cardboard that they call “homemade chips.” The snack was so salty that it actually woke me up in the middle of the night — I had to drink almost two liters of water just to get the taste out of my mouth.
At checkout, I was told that I had to stay one more night because my date modification had supposedly not been processed. After about five minutes of searching, they finally found the correct reservation — but then informed me that I now had to pay a modification fee.
This fee was not clearly indicated in the Bonvoy app. I travel every two weeks and regularly stay with both Accor and Bonvoy hotels, and I modify reservations quite often. Hotels are usually understanding and flexible. That was not the case here.
The manager simply told me to read all the terms and conditions and ended the conversation.
I’m very disappointed with this Marriott experience and especially with how my complaint was handled. I would not recommend this hotel for business travel — unless you enjoy paying a high price for something that feels closer to a prison-like experience than a hotel stay.
