Offering a fitness center, DORMERO Hotel Pirmasens is located directly at the entrance to the Pfälzer Wald Nature Park. WiFi is free for guests in all parts of the hotel. Bright rooms at DORMERO Hotel Pirmasens offer satellite TV, a work desk and tea/coffee facilities. Each one features a black-and-white color scheme and contemporary-style furnishings. A breakfast buffet can be booked each morning, and a variety of meals can be delivered to the hotel, which can be enjoyed in the bright dining area. Guests can also relax with a drink in the lobby bar. The surrounding area is great for walking, with a hiking trail located 1.6 mi away. The pedestrian area is 820 feet away and a round of golf can also be enjoyed at the Erster Golfclub Westpfalz Schwarzbachtal (7.5 mi). It is 3.7 mi to the A8 motorway and 1148 feet to Pirmasen Main Station. Parking is available for a small fee.

Clean and comfortable

Great location downtown, 5 minute walk to pedestrian zone. Great breakfast buffet, coffee, tea, juices, cold cereals, eggs, sausage, bacon, lunch meats, cheeses, vegetables, yogurt, fresh breads and rolls - even a vegan section! We stayed in room 101. As you walk in, you are in a foyer. Directly opposite is the bathroom door, tub/shower with stuck on circles for traction and a hand bar for safety, toilet shelving and sink. To the right of the foyer was a room with a door which had a desk, TV, chair and sofa bed, full size, which was comfortable. To the left of the foyer was a bedroom with a full side bed and open closet and spots to sit with cushions. Both rooms had windows that opened for fresh air. Everywhere was clean. 4 euro per day to park, spots were a little tight. Top level, 3, had a walk out terrace with seating and nice views. Staff were friendly and helpful. What more could we want!

Beyond unprofessional

I booked through their website using a special offer and paid upfront online. When I arrived, they charged me again by mistake. I requested a refund, but staff couldn’t issue it and told me to wait until checkout. At checkout, they still couldn’t process it and had literally lost my details written on a scrap of paper. I was then asked to hand over my bank details on a post-it note.
After returning home, I had to provide my bank details again because the post-it was lost. Nearly three months later, after endless emails and calls, I still haven’t received my refund.
This is beyond unprofessional—they can’t manage something as simple as a refund, something that should take minutes in this day and age. It’s embarrassing for a business to operate like this.
Unless you absolutely have no other choice, avoid staying here.

Perfect for a stage

A very nice hotel, well located in the center of Pirmasens, with parking, very comfortable rooms, a friendly and smiling receptionist. What more can I wish for on a night of stage?

Practical city hotel without much frills

Small rooms including very small, simple bathroom and small TV in a central location. Walking distance in 5-10 minutes to the small pedestrian area of Pirmasens. Friendly staff at check-in and check-out and Wheel of Fortune for Rewards members. Nothing spectacular, but everything works. Hotel parking also small, also costs only €4/night. Breakfast must be booked separately (€14,90/person).

Decent hotel

Stayed 2 nights due to hotels closer to where I needed to be being sold out. It is an average hotel. I do think they have probably made the most of their location and decor. It has been remolded within the last 10 years and while not super modern has the right touches for a comfortable stay
I did not have breakfast as it was not included in the rate.
The parking is interesting and had I not been driving a Toyota Ayego not sure if I would have fit in the spots-- compact is understatement. I think it should be free parking but they charge a modest 4 euros.
The biggest issue is WIFI doesn't allow for a person to connect to a VPN which is a requirement for my employment. As such, won't be returning.
Overall, decent enough hotel, just not conducive to my business needs.
