The most wonderful experience

What a wonderful, relaxing, beautiful hotel and idyllic location by the lake.
The hotel staff, without exception where so friendly and charming and could not do enough to make our stay just perfect.
We stayed for 2 nights in July for our daughter’s 21st birthday, and the hotel organised the cake for us locally so we did not have to worry about anything.
Our rooms, by the pool, where just perfect and even the inclement weather on one day could not dampen the sheer relaxation or this hotel and location.
We loved it and will most certainly come back again.

Tearing down is surely the best option

It's a shame: Fantastic lakefront location overlooking the mountains, but the hotel itself has definitely finished. The Schlierseer should definitely quickly agree to a revised development plan, then this hotel ruin can soon become a contemporary, great resort for short breaks near Munich. As it is now, I can recommend it as a stop-over e.g. during a motorcycle tour, but certainly not as a serious wellness experience. The now responsible for the feel-good factor, external adventure pool (about 800 m away) has the typical charm of a public bathing establishment, you have to like that (and pay extra). The condition of the rooms, lobby, restaurant etc. has already been extensively reported here, I personally found it so uncomfortable that I left earlier than planned.

Hotel not up to speed

Not a 4 star hotel.Poor by German standards.The manager Walter was very unapologetic for a party that he allowed for which banged out music all day and to which outside guests were invited for a fee.guests in the hotel were given short notice of this and in our case we had booked without knowing this music event would destroy our Saturday.the hotel looks run down and whilst staff are lovely it is clear this business is on its knees.dont waste your money!!

Watch out: Parking fee rip-off!!!

We visited the beautifully located beach lounge in the evening and consumed it in threes. Watch out! Costly parking concept! It is expected that the guest will let the staff know if he has parked in the yard, In other, quite upscale restaurants it is the other way around, since the guest is asked by the staff and then unlocked or receives a barcode.
We had seen the sign in the parking lot unfortunately only at the exit and had to pay 13 euros (!) after our colliery for a parking space of an estimated 1.5 hours. Pay parking fees online. Objections are coldly dismissed. An outrage!
There are also other nice and above all better places in the area that you can safely avoid such unlovely establishments, which rightly have only a mediocre rating. The attractive location on the lake is not everything. As a 4 star hotel you have to offer more.

Great view of Schliersee from the balcony. Food better than expected.

The single room was fine, though quite small. But through the balcony it was easy to bear and seemed bigger.
The food at the half-board was really good, especially in the evening. When the weather was nice, one was also given the opportunity to eat outside. The interior is also very nice and looks like a good room. The staff were all nice and accommodating.
For the three nights I spent there in any case a good stay.
