Peace in the valley. Very much the best of both worlds!, Also a few tricky tips.

“Excellent location in a really lovely little village. The apartment itself is very modern with every convenience, yet still has that traditional Bavarian feel to it. Schwangau is almost rural but only a minutes drive to the township of Fussen, so again, the best of both worlds. You can walk to the castles in an easy 15 minutes if you want to and there are a few great restaurants again within walking distance, including the lovely Helmerhof just across the road, but take a tip and make a reservation as seems to be quite popular. Another tip, double check your google searches as you often get directed to another property in the area called Luna Mia, even the GPS took us there first. In summary, great value, great location, great hosts, everything was actually better than we could have imagined. My family all just loved it!!!

Cosy apartment and fantastic view

The apartment has 2 bedrooms, a large living room and a large balcony with a spectacular view. I was also with a child of 2 years and a half, he had plenty of room to play inside and run, everything is safe. Really nice to walk around or jump in the car and enjoy the beautiful nature.

Excellent

We stayed at the Luna Blanca Apartments at Frauenberstr 5 (I believe they have two different locations). This one was excellent in every way. Gorgeous views of the mountains with the castle in the background! Our apartment was on the 3rd floor; modern furnishings, gorgeous tiled bathroom, heated floors, spacious living area with kitchen, and washer/dryer in the basement we were told were free to use (and we did!). The property manager was very helpful; the place we had planned to stay the night before was awful so we called to see if we could come early and stay 2 nights, which she worked out for us. Loved our stay there!

Great location

Stayed in apt 2 has a large balcony overlooking the mountains.
Very clean with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a great shower.
Has a great restaurant across the road 2 mins walk. Great location to visit the castles and can walk no problem

Wonderful apartment in Beautiful Schwangau/Horn Bavaria Germany

Our family of 6 was very comfortable in Luna Blanca 2! The mountain view from the balcony is fantastic and the airflow throughout the apartment kept us comfortable even during a very hot week. The close proximity to the castles at Hohenschwangau, Tegelbergbahn, and the breathtaking Alps made this a great "home base" for our 5 day stay. Heidi was very helpful and check-in and check-out were a breeze. The on-site laundry was a life-saver for our large family. Our only suggestion wood be to stock a few more dishes/glasses for larger families. Otherwise we had absolutely no complaints at all. (Do be aware that there is a quaint working farm very nearby so with the windows open we did enjoy the authentic country air and knew there were cattle nearby. It did not bother us). The area was very quiet after dark and the beds comfortable so we slept very well. I highly recommend this apartment and this area for a lovely Bavarian vacation. We rented bikes and either rode or walked to several restaurants and shops in the neighboring towns. There is also local bus service. We did not rent a car, and we had fun, but probably will rent a car on our next stay here. Heidi can tell you where to find anything you need in the area. Thanks for a great stay! We are dreaming of our return visit some day soon.
