Quiet hotel in a picturesque location at Kyffhäuser

Very quiet and scenic location directly under the Kyffhäuser Monument – a perfect starting point for excursions in the nearby area and the Unstrut Saale wine region. Various sizes of tastefully furnished rooms, mostly located in very quiet areas, with sufficient balconies (some even weather-protected). Good beds. Ample parking available at the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Good restaurant service. Nice staff. Fair price-performance ratio.

Highly recommended!

We stopped for a night in the castle yard on a motorcycle tour. A very nice house with good rooms in a very quiet location. The staff is super friendly and the kitchen has prepared us a very delicious dinner. The breakfast buffet was excellent !
Man should definitely take the time to visit the monument, a magnificent view!

Excellent

The hotel is located directly and within walking distance under the Kyffhäuser monument. The complex has an interesting history, was built at the end of the 19th century. It was built in the 19th century as a guest and shopping economy, then expanded several times and was an FDGB holiday home in the GDR. A family took over the property in 2003 and lovingly restored it over the years. The hotel rooms are located in a completely renovated mezzanine. The rooms are excellently equipped. We felt very comfortable. Dinner can be had in the associated public restaurant. Here good local cuisine is offered, which we also enjoyed very well. You're a little lost in the giant hall, but the good food makes up for it. The only drawback: In some parts of the hotel, Wi-Fi reception regularly breaks down. This is good for people who want to take a digital break:) but bad for families with bigger kids, for digital nomads or for co-location workers. Here, the owners should install a few additional Wi-Fi hot spots.

Here the customer is not king

We wanted to have a drink here on a late Sunday afternoon after a visit to the Denkmal. Because there were occasional drops of rain, the terrace was already out of use. So it was time to have a drink inside. Neither the employees behind the bar nor the waiters (who cleared the terrace) responded. Then it turned out that this is self-service. None of the staff pointed this out to us. Yes, there was a little sign on the door. The beer tasted good, but such service shows little customer friendliness.
