Excellent
A very great stay, very nice operators. They were always helpful and always there for us. Breakfast was excellent. The garden was very well maintained, and the rooms are modern. The quiet location charmed me. I would love to come back

We would never book there again.
Restaurant was not available, located in the middle of nothing.
The house doesn't really seem welcoming to us. The rooms were fine but far too expensive. We paid say and write 210€ for a night with breakfast. This felt hard to rip off, especially as the lady of the house demanded the amount in cash immediately upon our arrival. A receipt was a misrepresentation, why only ?
Only cash is true....
We booked this "hotel" at short notice, were traveling with friends along with the bikes. Unfortunately, there was no other option possible to come in another hotel nearby under, high season! That's why we had no plan B.
We would not book this hotel anymore, for the price of under 100€ it would be okay, but 210€ is rip-off.

Unorganized, unreliable and breach of contract: Strange Place on the noisy federal highway B76
Unfortunately, a total failure! - Better not to book the "wannabe" Hotel AFINA - unless you really want to ruin your vacation.
I have never encountered such an impossible business practice on the Baltic coast.
The bindingly confirmed reservation was supplemented 12 days before arrival with the following automatic email: "The room price is always to be paid on site. In the event of incorrect information and non-arrival, the credit card will be charged immediately."
So far, so good. The guest provided the credit card when making the reservation. A request for late arrival after 8 p.m. was confirmed without comment.
Then on site in Süsel, the big surprise: The Mediterranean restaurant that was advertised at the entrance to the main road Neustadt Eutin doesn't actually exist!
At the end of a winding split road, you end up on a hill on the dead-end property. The "hotel" turned out to be the operator's residential building in need of renovation, with a few guest beds on the ground floor marketed as hotel rooms.
There is no doorbell or reception at the building. There are only six key boxes. When you call the landline number, you only get an answering machine.
After waiting half an hour when you try to call again, the connection was surprisingly activated again. The lady on the phone didn't even want to give her name, which reinforced the impression of a lack of seriousness. An attempt was immediately made to change the conditions for the room that had already been booked. The guest was supposed to pay several times the booked price in cash on site, so it was assumed that this was misleading advertising.
When the guest refused to take this gamble, the lady on the phone lied to the guest by claiming that the hotel was fully booked today, although it was clear from the windows that all the guest rooms were empty.
The apparent overburdening was also evident in the outdoor areas: dried-out plants and dusty chests of drawers, yellowed advertising brochures and curtain rods from the previous operators hastily disposed of behind garages. Some insulation panels were scattered on a slope in the Holstein countryside.
The female assistant on the phone hid in the house and did not come to the door despite repeated requests by phone. Instead, she said "the manager will be here in 10 minutes". However, there was no sign of one anywhere.
As it was already starting to get dark and the location was really spooky, I finally ordered a taxi to get to Haffkrug train station, which was 6 km away.
The guest who had booked was left to his own devices on site. Check-in was refused despite the booking being confirmed.
The audacity of this host family was to claim to Booking. com that the guest had not arrived.
In fact, the guest waited half an hour on the abandoned property. "A. A." is marked on old mailboxes.
Never again!
