Very nice house.
We were received very warmly. The house is tasteful and of high quality. The rooms were very large and equipped with air conditioning.
We had lunch and dinner at the hotel. Both times, the quality was absolutely solid.
The staff is certainly untrained. However, this did not bother us at all, as everyone was always very warm-hearted.
We would visit the Rheinhotel a second time.

A venerable proud house - poorly and carelessly managed.
However, we were very disappointed in many respects.
Initially, there were many stylistic elements in the hotel, such as the staircase or the decor in the hallways, that originated from a very opulent time in the house's history.
However, there was much that was very disappointing.
We were in a room on the second floor. Actually newly renovated. However, it was done so carelessly that it is hard to describe. The floor was uneven. Doors poorly painted at the hinges, no air conditioning. There was a new bed in the room, but it was designed in such a way that one could not operate the light switches. The bathroom was also new, but in an old construction with a shower entry of 15-20 cm.
The weather was nice, it was hot, and we had breakfast outside. Beautiful outdoor terrace. However, the buffet was set up at the other end of the ballroom. There were water bottles, but they were not chilled. The selection of food was rather modest. On a plate with tomatoes and mozzarella, despite multiple inquiries, there was always exactly one slice of tomato. There was salmon, but the cream horseradish was missing. Fried eggs were only available fried on both sides. On the terrace, there was a sign warning that the chairs might be wet. Well then, one makes them dry. It is a 4-star hotel. Also, the staff at breakfast seemed very overwhelmed. Otherwise, the large rooms also seemed very dated. It is truly a shame that a house with so much tradition and really top-notch substance is managed so tastelessly. What a pity.

Well worth a visit
We had our two very well trained springer spaniels with us and that was no problem at all.
Fantastic suite with stunning views up and down the Rhine.
Restaurant a little quirky, with a mix of traditional German fayre and Indian curries! We had asparagus, which was lovely but they forgot the ham that was supposed to be with it. And the main course was hugely overloaded with French fries , which was a little strange. Apparently the chef was off sick, which may explain things.
Friendly staff, it really deserves 4.5 stars but I don’t know how to do half stars!
PS. What is it with the white asparagus so beloved by the Germans, green asparagus has far more flavour.

Living and dining with Rhine view in a beautiful ambience
Beautiful harmonious, well-kept and dignified decor (old fashioned) of the rooms and corridors .
The dining room has large panoramic windows overlooking the Rhine. The house also has a catering outdoor area with Rhine views. Good breakfast. See friendly and helpful staff. We were very pleased and will come back next year.
