The food was terrific, the view was amazing, and the owner & staff - absolutely charming!

We stayed at Hotel Karoli for Christmas last year and our stay was absolutely magical. A big thank you to owners for making us feel welcome! The breakfasts were amazing, with fresh food daily. We even were part of the Christkind breakfast - so much fun! Our room was great, the decorations very festive, and other guests super friendly. So glad the owners speak English! My wife speaks German, but I don't. Definitely recommend!

Don’t repeat it because it’s a little out of the way and not very comfortable

Hotel in rural area but close to a population core, all wooden in several buildings of two floors and without elevator, with stairs on all sides and long corridors.
Right dinners and breakfast but buffet with no option, you could repeat but they were the same dishes. No bar possibility, only beer and coffee.
Pretty dry staff and not nice.
Spacious rooms, however and with good heating.

Good location, friendly service

The hotel is in a quiet location on the outskirts of town. This is particularly advantageous if you have a dog, as there is a small forest and the Saußbachklamm gorge just around the corner. Our room (one that had not been renovated) was perfectly fine for one night and also offered a lovely view of the town and the valley. We were particularly impressed by the service at reception and at breakfast. In the afternoon you can sit in the lounge and have coffee and cake. Conclusion: The hotel keeps its promises. We would come back again and again for a short stay.

Good room with balcony & view

Nice bed, nice bathroom. Breakfast hardly ok, everything cold except from hardboiled eggs. Dinner 3 evenings : sooo bad, tasteless and the most uninspiring types of vegetables. The only positive was free (nice) wine!
Besides - I had to share table the whole time with another single traveller and felt forced to communicate! Grrrr
cleaning lady knocked the door already at 08.00 - and even when the ”do-not-disturb-was o the door. not very friendly.
Internet only in lobby & restaurant.
I checked out 1 day in advance.
Surroundings/village nice and beautiful.
Choose another hotel is my advise!

The hotel was clean and bedrooms spacious and bright with balcony. Exquisite view from diningroom. Food in restaurant adequate for a complete foreigner from South Africa. But it was a bit difficult for me being diabetic and lactose intolerant and I would like to thank the kitchen staff for trying to accommodate where they could. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Free beer and wine as well as several kinds of cool drinks on tap and also tea, coffee and hot chocolate. All this was available free of charge from 10 am.
Free bus service to and from hotel to town centre. Swimming pool within 10 minute walk and many different walks to go on.
It was a very enjoyable stay and wont hesitate to recommend it to my friends.
