The stay was generally pretty good. The outside of the hotel you could see that it was pretty much under construction and from time to time it was quite loud, since it's still under renovation, but it was actually not much of an issue for us. The room was cozy and clean. My partner had sauna every night, and it was quite pleasant especially it was cold and windy outside during our stay. What we also loved the most were the near public transportation which only takes 6-7 minutes of a walk to the bus stop and the highlight was the beach.. just 3-5 minute walk and you're already on the beach. Overall, we'd love to recommend the hotel. :))

Poorly renovated hotel with inattentive staff; premium looks different.

After spending a short vacation here in May, which we enjoyed, we stayed here again for nine nights in June/July. This will not happen to us again.
Upon our arrival, the elevator was out of order. Since we had a room on the second floor, it would have been sensible to have staff to carry the luggage up. However, such arrangements were not made.
Initially, we received a room whose safe was lockable, but the key was missing. Upon inquiry, we were told to enter a code; however, this was not possible with a safe that could only be locked.
The bathroom ceiling had been freshly painted; larger paint patches were left on the white tiles. There was mold in the joints of the shower cubicle. The painter had also painted the window seals, making them hard and brittle due to the paint application. From the next day on, we received another room. This one had also been only poorly "renovated" by the painter (was it really a painter or just an assistant?).
For breakfast on the first day, one of the two coffee machines was broken, and the other had a sign that read "the coffee is empty." The chafing dish, in which the English breakfast should have been, was also empty. After the intervention of several guests, the coffee situation was finally resolved.
We had a severe storm for two days, resulting in a layer of salt on the window panes that made them look like frosted glass. The booked sea view was not possible through these panes. The room cleaning staff also did not address this issue and did not clean the windows. At least there was a heavy rain shower that freed the window panes from the salt.
The room cleaning staff did not feel compelled to change the bed linens even after five days of use and with four days still ahead of us.
On the penultimate day, we learned that the room rate, for which we still paid €255 per night, had been reduced to under €100 per night for newer guests.
Warning: the word Premium is merely a name component that raises expectations that the hotel cannot meet. The only good thing about the hotel is its location in the center of Wenningstedt.

Plaza Wenningstedt is out!!!

Scaffolding and bulky waste in front of the side door over the Pentecost, room cleaning is not done daily, even after a reminder, a sign is criticized that must be attached to the room door!!! Not acceptable for a hotel from a guest's perspective. Two days without fresh towels, no new toilet paper!!! No seating in the outdoor area!!! Coffee machine will simply be dismantled after Pentecost. Breakfast eggs are only available in limited quantities, reordering takes too long. Bread and rolls are also not replenished immediately. One person for service is too few!!! For a hotel in this price range, these deficiencies are unacceptable!!! I will not return!!! This would not have happened at Lindner!!!

Below average accommodation in excellent location

The room was very small (allegedly we got an "upgrade"!!), the room service practically non-existent. Of 3 saunas, one worked.
Breakfast was good; the location of the hotel very good. The reception was once very friendly, the other time disinterested (depending on the receptionist). Special requests, for example the saunas on the rainy day (consistent rain; you could do nothing but relax in the - not operational sauna) a little earlier, were not fulfilled.

The Lindner has greatly diminished

For over 10 years we have been coming to Lindner Hotel Wenningstedt regularly and have always been very satisfied. This year, however, the Service was much worse – inattentive and not as warm as usual. At the breakfast buffet several things went out daily including plates, and dinner is unfortunately no longer offered. The reception was unfortunately not available by phone, so we did not have to book directly at the hotel as usual but through a travel agency. That doesn't justify the price. We'll book something else next year.
Conclusion: very disappointing at a high price.
