The hotel is worth a visit, but the trend in value for money should be reversed.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially noteworthy in the service of the guest rooms and the bar.
The rooms are very good and are cleaned every day if you want.
What the chef and his team offer for the New Year's Eve Gala (and not just there) and for dinner is remarkable. Big praise!
However, the breakfast buffet was better.
The only elevator in the 4*S hotel was broken for the whole five days!
As compensation for this you did not have to pay the overpriced ( 17 €/day) outdoor parking.
We have been a guest at this hotel for several years on New Year's Eve.
This year it was noticeable that there was a lack of some little things that we have perceived as very pleasant in the past years.
e.g. no more fresh eggs for breakfast on the first day, friendly welcome in the rooms, atmospheric lighting in the outdoor area of the sauna).
We would like to come back, but would like to give some thought.

Der Aufzug ist wegen eines defekten Steuergeräts aktuell außer Betrieb, weshalb eine Personenbeförderung untersagt ist. Wir haben auf diese akute Einschränkung im Vorfeld hingewiesen, bedauern aber sehr, wenn die Information für Sie nicht ausgereicht oder Ihren Aufenthalt beeinträchtigt hat.
Ihre konstruktiven Hinweise zu einzelnen Service- und Komfortdetails wie dem Frühstücksbuffet, dem Begrüßungsritual auf dem Zimmer und der Gestaltung des Saunabereichs sind für uns sehr hilfreich. Wir nehmen Ihre Beobachtungen aufmerksam auf, denn uns liegt viel daran, vertraute Annehmlichkeiten zu bewahren und Impulse für Verbesserungen mitzunehmen – gerade auch aus Sicht treuer Gäste wie Ihnen. Cleanliness leaves something to be desired in some places
Our room is on the ground floor. However, on close inspection, it is noticeable that cleaning was not thorough. There is a layer of dust in some corners and on the trim. In the bathroom between the bulbs are cobwebs and also the towel rails are dusted.
The parking situation in Things is very tense, the hotel offers its own parking. Nevertheless, the price of 17 € per night is overpriced and excessive in our eyes.
We booked the buffet in the evening as half board. Unfortunately, I have to say that there are very few vegan/vegetarian options. The pasta salad, the tarte flambée and also the fried potatoes are prepared with bacon and there is no alternative.
Otherwise the food is very good and also the salad bar rich and varied.
The gym is rather old and rather uncomfortable and not very welcoming.

Child unfriendly and rip-off
With children better take a bow around this hotel. Our son, 4 years old, was admonished at breakfast by the staff for whistling; other guests had complained. As a greeting, a plush seal lay on the extra bed for our son. At check-out I was then asked if we wanted to keep the seal, then we would have to pay 9.90 EUR. By then, it had long since been packed and my son would have reluctantly returned it. This is what I call a rip-off (We had booked a duplex apartment for two nights with breakfast for 378 EUR, plus 98 EUR for child, plus another 50 EUR for dog, plus 30 EUR for parking, so a total of 556 EUR). When asked that there was no indication at check-in, the staff responded only with excuses that it was newly introduced. Also the rooms are, although freshly refurbished, but disappointing. From the front door you look directly at the shower, or when opening the door other guests could see who is currently showering. The toilet is cramped. The child lock (grid) for protection against the steep staircase was defective. And finally, there were only very thin pillows or pillows as thick as a sofa cushion. The RoomService could not help either. All in all, very disappointing at this price. We definitely won't be back.

Cosy hotel on the edge of Zingst . Highly recommended!!
To the center about .15 min walk, supermarket and good Italian ggü .
