Beautiful, folkloric and cheap
Rustic and cozy. It was a clean and comfortable stay. Staff was 10. Price accordingly.
I liked that it had large common spaces, with nature surrounding you. The furniture and decorations accompany and give an atmosphere between rustic, floral and cozy that really serves to relax.
The rooms are simple, the walls and ceiling passable, but don't expect luxury.
Now what I didn't like so much, the location. Although it is in an area that could be considered central, the truth is that it is far from what the locals call the "microcenter" (pedestrian paths, commercial avenues, etc., which goes from San Martin Avenue to Belgrano Avenue, and in the direction east west would be Buenos Aires Street to Jujuy Avenue).
From Tucuman it is 5 blocks to San Martin Avenue, which at first glance doesn't seem like much, but when it's hot it's hard to bear on foot. But at the same time it seems unnecessary to be going by bondi.
Also, the area is ugly at night. Neighbors say that they usually rob passersby, they snatch your bags and cell phones. So if you plan to move at night, move with someone or take a taxi (which won't cost much if you move in close radius).
And having said that, the hostel itself does not seem very safe in itself. So just in case, do not leave valuables alone in the room.

Very decent overnighting but thief is present!
I was exhilarated to be making such good progress on the Northbound leg of this segmenting “My World Upon Wheels/reTIRED World (Bike)tour, 14JAN-07APR2020, when the shared taxi dropped me off at this fine hostel first (29FEB2020). Security is pretty good, entering from the street, an extremely friendly greeting by the receptionist/staff and recognition of my “slow” mobility (I use a cane) by assigning me to a close by 5-bunk/bed room—no ascending steps! I also immediately signed up for a BBQ (500 pesos pp) that evening. I couldn’t have asked for better.
Actually, I could have; because Unfortunately, the room key was not readily available, which should have been a red flag, and, most importantly, I did not immediately lock up my rucksack/gear in the provided lockers. Whilst enjoying the stunningly great BBQ of many different meats, someone had gotten into room 11 and stole the money pouch & tooth kit from my rucksack. Naturally, I discovered it when I went to brush my teeth, had a very restless night disbelieving that such a person could do such a terrible thing in such a decent hostel. Everything can be replaced—except my naive trust of hostels. I’m now just a wee bit more wary.
Anyway, the room was OK, though there is one bank of universal outlets mounted upper bunk high, which seems ludicrous. I temporarily amended the situation with ductape. Also, on the same wall, there is a single bulb for the room—no individual bunk/bed lights. The bathroom was quite decent, though showering does tend to flood the entire floor.
The staff are quite friendly and always work hard to ensure every guest has a brekkie of coffee/2-biscuits/spoonfuls if butter & jam. There is a flat screen monitor in the brekkie/lounge room. Would I return? Should you overnight here?

Poor stay - breakfast is non existent!
Despite having had a ‘comfortable’ stay here, I would not recommend staying. The location is poor - it is 8 blocks (20 minute walk) from the main plaza which is where all the restaurants are etc which is quite a faff. The bathroom was very small and extremely basic too. However, the worst thing about it is the breakfast - it is almost non existent. All you get is 2 tiny, stale, almost scone like rolls and a dollop of ‘jam’ which is more like orange pulp so we had to resort to going to the local bakery to get our own breakfast!

Excellent hostel and great value
We stayed in a 4-person room with a private bathroom. There was one set of bunkbeds and one double bed. The price was fantastic, considering the quality of the room and the facilities of the hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed, and they were able to help us set up excursions as well. This is the best hostel I've ever stayed at. I travel on a very low budget, so my expectations are never too high, but I was very pleasantly surprised with how great this place was inside. The location is in walking distance of a great shopping/eating area, but when you arrive, you'll feel like there's nothing around. Just ask the staff and they'll direct you on where to go to find supermarkets, shops, restaurants, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Tasty asado !
Enjoyed our stay here. We were upgraded to a private room which was lovely. Very comfy beds, very clean hostel. Hot showers. The WiFi is a bit slow. It’s quite well located - 10/15 minutes walk from centre, 2 mins from a supermarket. They do an asado which is great ! Breakfast is basic but the coffee is good! Kitchen is quite basic. Loads of places to relax and a good vibe.
