Exceeded My Expectations – Definitely Coming Back

Our stay at Sheraton Soma Bay exceeded my expectations.
The hotel has been beautifully renovated, while still keeping its relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.
The beach is beautiful and the sea is absolutely amazing — a perfect example of the stunning Red Sea beaches Egypt is famous for.
The snorkeling reef spot is also fantastic, with beautiful marine life just a short swim away.
We really enjoyed the restaurants and bars, and the service throughout the hotel was very good. The views from almost everywhere — the reception, pool, restaurants and bars — are wonderful and make the whole resort feel very special.
Our room was spacious and very comfortable for a family, and the sea view was one of my favorite things about our stay. Seeing the different shades of blue and turquoise of the Red Sea from the room was simply beautiful.
The aqua park doesn't have a huge number of slides, but the ones available are really fun and varied, and the kids enjoyed them a lot.
Overall, it was a wonderful and relaxing family vacation that exceeded our expectations Al Hamdu Le Allah.
We really enjoyed Sheraton Soma Bay and will definitely come back again!

Worst front office staff in the bonvoy group

Its general a nice, renovated hotel. Upgrade according to the status has been given. It could have been an outstanding stay but the front office team ruined really everything. I booked my stay with cash and points through the official bonvoy app. After check in they gave an upgrade price of 85 USD per person even if the app showed 30 USD per perosn. The elite hotline confirmed the upgrade price of 30 USD per person but front office staff refused. Nobody could explain where this amount came from and the staff just didnt care at all. Its so sad that a small experience can ruin a nice weekend. As a frequent traveller and titanium member thats one of the worst experience i ever had. Mr. B. Bornman who even won prices like the top elite guest satisfaction award was not avaiable on a friday afternoon and the staff didnt wanna reach out to him. Thats not how you handle guest feedback/complaints. An official complaint through marriott will be done as well as that behaviour can be considered as fraud. To be fair, if you book through travel agencies you wouldnt have those issues but every guest in individual, something which the FO staff has to be teached on.

A good and affordable hotel

We just came back from an incredible week at Sheraton Soma Bay Resort 5*, where my husband and I spent our vacation, and I am still under the absolute charm of the Red Sea! If you are looking for a peaceful, upscale getaway away from the noisy city crowds, this place is an absolute hidden gem. The hotel itself is fantastic. The beach here is truly world-class—the sand is fine and powdery white, the entry into the water is very gentle and shallow, and the sea color ranges from turquoise to deep sapphire. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a lovely view of the territory. We loved walking along the vast, beautifully manicured grounds in the evenings and enjoying the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The food in the main restaurant was delicious with plenty of fresh options every day, and the service from the staff made us feel genuinely cared for. While we loved lounging by the beach, we definitely wanted to explore more of Egypt. We decided to book our trips outside of the hotel because the prices offered by hotel guides were unreasonably high. Instead, we followed a recommendation to look up a local agency called Sheriff Egypt online, and it turned out to be the best decision of our entire trip! You can easily find them by their name on the internet. Their prices are significantly lower than what the hotel reps charge, but the organization and quality of service are top-tier. We booked two excursions through them, and both were unforgettable:A small-group trip to Cairo (up to 8 people) with a private guide. Traveling in such a small group felt exclusive and comfortable—no rushing around massive crowds of a giant tour bus. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, fluent in English, answered all our history questions, and gave us plenty of time at the Pyramids and the museum without feeling hurried. A boat trip to Giftun Island / Orange Bay style (specifically the stunning Utopia/Hula Hula island area). The yacht we sailed on was completely new, modern, and very clean, which made the sea trip super luxurious and pleasant. The crew and guides spoke great English, were very attentive, and made sure everyone had an amazing time snorkeling and relaxing on the white-sand beach. If you are heading to Sheraton Soma Bay, don't hesitate to book your tours through Sheriff Egypt—you will save money and get a much higher-quality experience! We are already dreaming of coming back.

Incredible !

We had an absolutely incredible stay at the Sheraton, in a truly exceptional setting.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with great warmth and kindness. The entire staff were wonderful with both our children and us. Their sense of hospitality is truly remarkable, and they do everything possible to make their guests feel at home.
We had already stayed at this hotel in 2024 and were delighted to discover the renovations that have since been completed. They have made the hotel even more beautiful, comfortable, and enjoyable.
The beach is magnificent, and the hotel is ideally located near the Marina and a diving centre. The water park is perfectly suited to children, who had a fantastic time there.
We were also extremely impressed by the exceptional quality of the food. Despite being an all-inclusive resort with buffet-style dining, the dishes were varied, delicious, and carefully prepared, with something to suit every taste.
We would especially like to thank Wael El Bana, Ahmed from the service team, Sherif, the head chef, Alah from the service team, Mahmoud at reception, and all the other members of staff for their warm welcome every day. Their thoughtful gestures truly touched us and made our stay even more memorable.
We will return without hesitation and would highly recommend this hotel to families looking for a relaxing, high-quality stay with outstanding hospitality.
