Country B&B
Very interesting property and hostess. Charming setting and beautifully furnished. We enjoyed our walk and the conservatory. Very quiet. Definitely a country setting. The art gallery and ancient cairn was a definite plus. Would stay again.

Great stay with friends
Myself and 13 friends had an amazing long weekend in Cullintra House. The farmhouse is full of character with Patricia’s paintings adorning all the walls. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfy. Patricia’s laid back attitude made for a relaxing few days. It was lovely to be able to sit in the conservatory as a group of an evening playing music and enjoying a drink. The house is very clean but don't expect the conservatory to be super clean as it has a log burner functioning all the time and it is an outdoor space. The setting of the farmhouse is amazing with lovely walks around the area. Patricia cooks a lovely breakfast but don’t expect it first thing in the morning. If you want an escape from the stresses of life then Patricia and Cullintra is the place for you. You will leave with some good memories after a truly unique experience.

Brilliant fun
We visited Cullintra house to celebrate a birthday. We had an utterly brilliant time.
We were fortunate to stay with 12 others who were also going to the birthday so it’s totally fun to be able to enjoy this huge beautiful place with your friends.
I was lucky enough to stay in the barn which is heated by a log burner. The house is in the country so once lights are out, it’s quiet and dark. I have never slept so well. The shower was great, warm, with good pressure.
There are no kettles in the room but there is a beautiful conservatory with a piano and a galley kitchen which we used to play music, games and drink. It was stunning at night and again kept warm by a log burner
Patricia is unique (as we all are) and even though it is a b and b it is also her home. If you are looking for something slick and predictable don’t come here. You will be given the breakfast she wants to cooks for you (very well) and you will enjoy it. She will do it for you on her time. She cooked for 14 of us single handedly and it was delicious. She bakes home made bread for breakfast and it was absolutely knock out.
Her home is decorated with all of her paintings and personally I loved her use of colour. We had a brilliant time, thank you so much. We didn’t have dinner there but from the reviews it sounds yummy though I am not great at eating late so might give it a swerve.
I can imagine why some people don’t like the hospitality that Patricia offers but I thought it was absolutely superb and hope to come back one day soon.

Cullintra house. Its a must place to stay
We absolutely loved our stay at this property, its perfect for getting away from the stresses of city life. The host, Patricia was amazing and very welcoming. Breakfast was cooked to perfection every morning. The house itself has a wonderful feel with many paintings created by the host. I would recommend this accommodation to those looking for a complete escape, with many wonderful walks around the countryside. The rooms were very comfortable and generous. There is also a wonderful place to gather outside. A converted outbuilding equipmented with a roaring fire and a piano. Which may i add was tuned to concert pitch.

Not for us!
The host Patricia welcomed us to her country home and offered a choice of bedrooms, one in the main house and two in the converted barn. These two were quirky and quite charming, however both had a musty air and spiral stairs to the beds which didn’t appeal. We choose the ‘deluxe’ room in the house. We were disappointed that the double bed was a small 4ft./120cm size, the mattress was poor, and I was concerned about potential allergy issues with the old feather pillows. The ensuite bathroom was tiny. Patricia also told us that she preferred payment by cash. After a poor night’s sleep, we decided to leave next morning, despite being booked in for two nights, and to forego breakfast to drive to New Ross for cash. Full payment of €240 was expected, we were not aware that the price for one- or two- nights stay is the same, €240. While this country house may appeal to some as a ‘destination’ stay, it was not for us.
