experience in Glenbeigh 2025
On our road trip to Ireland from 02 to 11/09/2025, my husband and I stopped by Towers Hotel. An exceptional stay with a top team. Cathrine and her staff are always listening with a smile and kindness. Super clean rooms and very comfortable beds. The meals are delicious and hearty and the PUB Mood is really typical and friendly. A treat. Our best memories are there. Thank you all.

Awful
I actually don't know where to start with this place! We booked a family pet friendly room garden access. We checked in no problem and got to our room,floors were still wet,so we thought great freshly cleaned,how wrong we were! Carpet was dirty,bed frames dirty,counters dirty,skirting boards,dirty. This was only the start! It gets worse! We went to go to bed,and I spotted spots of dirt on the duvet cover which turned out to be blood! So I pulled off the cover and there was a bigger patch on the duvet further up and the duvet was yellow in patches. We got that changed out,following morning we got breakfast,no vegan option and only veg option was scramble eggs or poached. Poached egg was like rubber and hard,vile! We got back to our room and we met a cleaner down the hall who said our room will be cleaned later for us. I checked the bunk beds and when I say the mattresses are like something out of an abandoned derelict house in the middle of a woods off the beaten track,I'm not making it up. You'd find better at a dump! Sheets again were dirty and stained and yellow. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. We were told if its not up to standard we should pack our bags and go with a full refund. We've nothing else for you. I wouldn't even call it a standard let alone up to one! Two young children,one with autism who couldn't understand what was going on and was very distressed and crying and is still crying hours later.
Avoid this place or at the very least if you are booked in check everything before unpacking,sorry we didn't do that as we'd to repack everything again.
Our one few days away for the summer and this is our experience!

Stopped for lunch
Awful food, . Turkey and ham dinner was a slice of processed sliced ham. Lasagne was heated in the microwave but not cooked through. Would not recommend to anyone.

Avoid Like the Plague
Do not waste your money on this seriously, to the point of taking the pee, overpriced excuse for a hotel. I struggle to find any redeeming qualities worthy of note.
Starting with the room - twin beds, fine, we didn't specify - but I don't remember being able to do so during the online booking (via their website) process, because nobody deigned to answer the phone when we tried to make a phone reservation. The mattresses on both beds were extremely uncomfortable. The room (23), was one of the roadside ones, and consequently very noisy after hours. On the second night at 02:30, we were woken by a drunken couple outside, using foul language, arguing about politics, roaring and shouting and some copious weeping. This went on for 20+ minutes.
The decor was tired, and the dressing table and chair were child-sized. We were disappointed by the lack of attention to detail; notices were nailed up on the skew, and the TV wasn't mounted straight. The tea bags and coffee sachets were just thrown onto a tray with no effort at order. The kettle was dodgy.
The bathroom was grubby and in need of refurbishment. We were not impressed by the previous guest's hair in the bath, nor the dripping hot tap in the wash basin.
Included in the outrageous room rate was the breakfast - what can I say? There was no vegetarian option for a full Irish, and if you want a hot breakfast but are vegan, forget it!
DO NOT OPT FOR THE SCRAMBLED EGGS. The eggs were clearly microwaved in some sort of plastic pudding basin and arrived as a congealed lump on a piece of cheap, warm white bread (unbuttered) masquerading as toast. The whole was tasteless with a texture like rubber and, for me, completely inedible. Adding insult to injury, we were asked (as an afterthought) whether we wanted tea or coffee, opting for tea - the young waiter came over with a pot, picked up our cups, splashed over-stewed, tepid tea into them and took the pot away.
You also have to make arrangements to stay out late or go out early, because you are effectively locked in for the night. No room for spontaneity then!
We had booked this stay after a particularly difficult time following a family bereavement, and I find it difficult to put into words how disappointed we were with the whole experience, and to have paid €360 for it.

Not for families.
I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. If you have teenagers, that like to play in their room, DO NOT stay here. If you would like good food, DO NOT stay here. If you require more than one room key for your room , DO NOT stay here. Our teenagers were complained on 2 occasions for making noise, ( this was before 8pm I might add). They were also complained for allowing their cousins ( staying nearby) to charge their phones in our room . I would never recommend this hotel . We were asked to leave after 2 nights, despite paying for 3 nights in advance and refused a refund for the 3rd night.
