Can't cook a steak

Like many have said the staff here are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated, there was one main light in our room which was brighter than the sun, the lightswitches were hidden behind the headboards, only 2 of 3 bedside lights worked, the shower leaked and the decor was all a bit dated, the wifi was insanely bad. But the worst part was the food, my son ordered a medium-rare steak which was completely overcooked, the waitress did offer to replace it but it was getting late and I didn't have the time to spare... next waiter agreed it was unacceptable and said he would have it taken off the bill.. we were then told the best they could do was a 30% discount. Won't be back.

Very disappointed

Dirty carpet
Generally neglected. A waste of 169 euros. No way is this hotel 3 star accommodation.

Disappointed

lovely location, lovely Food, lovely refurbished room good value price wise.
After this it all goes down hill unfortunately!
decor refurbishment badly needed
reception/bar staff lovely & staff in general lovely but not attentive at breakfast .
asked for table to be cleaned set etc came over with 2 knives & forks & left us!
Anybody could have walked in for breakfast nobody checking our room number or seating us!
no tv & no lift!
drinks glasses & food bowls still on outside table where we had food & drinks evening before!
12 relatives stayed & had food as we have done for past number of years ever since it reopened as the Coast for lady's island & holidays
We fear it will be closed next time we try to book it due to its decline.
What a pity.
We are so disappointed & pray it will survive.

Not good - please invest in this place - it deserves better

I am sorry to say that this hotel is not looked after by its owners or its staff. It is quite shabby, not maintained well and is tired and unloved. It could be very nice, with a little TLC and small investment. The back of the hotel could be a lovely garden, and an area for evening drinks. The hotel is not clean (the bar/restaurant area). There was 'bangers and mash' as the special for the evening meal - at €17 (a rip off). I can't see why this place isn't looked after - it must be waiting for bank receivership or investment or is on its last legs. What a shame - the staff were somewhat tired - I imagine given the state of the hotel is management don't nurture their staff either. Overall a very bad hotel by the standards of Irish hospitallity. And not even that cheap.

Dont get Pizza

I only came here to have a meal for dinner with my mom and dad and brother. I got a pizza and it tasted awful! They tasted like they just came out of the oven after 5 minutes, and it took 45 minutes to get there! Only 2 stars because the deep fried Brie was great. The blue cheese dip did NOT taste like blue cheese and was so watery!
