Great.

A warm guesthouse in the heart of the Icelandic countryside, I saw the Geyser in my room and I was also treated to the Northern Lights show.
The bedding is very comfortable and the bathroom bright and pleasant.
There is everything you need in the common area.

Great for kids

We booked a paddock ride for a six year old with no previous experience and were very happy with our visit. We got to meet some of the other animals and then he had a short ride. It started off in the paddock with helpful tips on how to ride, then a little excursion around the farm and finally another round in the paddock. Our guide was very thoughtful and made us feel very welcome. Absolutely recommended

Stop Searching—Book Your Horse Tour with Geysir Hestar!

My experience with Geysir Hestar was fantastic. The guide Leila was really friendly, fun to be around, and knowledgeable about horses, which made the tour enjoyable and informative. The surroundings were beautiful. I appreciate that this is a family-run business. It felt like a well-organized, thoughtful experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing the Icelandic landscape on horseback.

Rude owner

I was passing by in the car and I stopped to pet some horses near the road, giving them some grass that was there on the ground (which they could very well eat even without me). The owner with the car came and yelled at me that I could not touch her horses and I quietly replied “okay”. Not happy she tried to push the horses away by clapping her hands but since they did not move she created another fence to keep them further away from me. I do not know what the problem is with the lady but if she does not want her horses to be touched just put a sign saying “do not touch the horses” or say it more politely, also because I was not on the property but outside a fence that overlooked the public road. I feel sorry for anyone who wants to stay here because the lady clearly does not know how to relate to customers.

Great fun

Fantastic experince. The horses where actually very good which is not always the case at horse rentals. Also our guide Tiffany was great and took us on full gallop several times. The whole setup looked very professional and solid and I feel confident in recommending this horse rental as top of the line here in Iceland.
