Do yourself a favour and stay away!
In Abu Road there's nothing to see and no where to go, so just go all the way up the mountain to Mount Abu, a very nice hill station with plenty of things to do.
Back to the hotel:
1-. It's 40 min walking from the hotel to the train/bus station or 12 min by tuctuc.
2-. Not very clean: When they showed us the room the guy kicked out a dead cockroach as if I hadn't seen it, which tells me they hadn't cleaned the room for a while.
3-. When I asked for toilet paper they told me it was finished.
4-. The shower was not working, only 2 waist height water taps, one very hot and one cold, your choice!
5-. The electricity stopped working in the room in the middle of the night and so did the fan.
6-. All rooms are facing the entrance hall where the reception is and you can hear clearly every little thing people do, including the phonecalls the receptionist missed while sleeping in the night, the reception TV as early as 7 am, etc.
Hope you get the idea.
Don't miss out Mount Abu though, it's lovely, plenty of things to do and of course the Dilwara temples are absolutely a must, they are astonishingly beautiful.
Down the road from the Dilwara temples on the way to the lake there is another temple to the right (long stairway!) where you get to see tons of monkeys which was really good fun. Don't expect much from the temple at the end of the stairways though!
The lake down the road is very nice as well!
