Great Homestay!
We had a lovely week as a family in the homestay. Jeffin was extremely kind and attentive. Our kids loved to stay here and were treated great. We felt very welcomed as a family.
Breakfast was very good and we even had bananas from Jeffins garden. Every day were different fresh fruits and having an additional portion for breakfast was always possible.
In the evening we had dinner at the homestay as Jeffins mum cooks very well. We as a family loved the food, which was not too spicy for us. The kids’ favorite were the noodles. We felt better treated than in a five star hotel as Jeffin even came to the beach to ask us about the dinner plans.
The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The beach already starts around the house as there is lots of sand, which was great for the kids to have a sandpit when stepping out of the door. To the beach and sea it is just a few steps.
The place is very safe and secured. It is very close to an extremely clean and beautiful beach. Within one week there were in total 10 people at the beach, which makes it a great location if you like loneliness.
Jeffin was very kind and organized us TukTuk, Shikara Ride in Allaphuza and taxis for a day trip and tuo our next location.
Overall, we had an absolutely great time and can highly recommend the place.

A 3 week stay 4th -25th January 2025 with a friend.
Our Host is named Jeffin
Our Cook is named Minnie
Our Cleaner is named Tanga
Marari Edens is an absolute gem. It is located by what we aptly name Sunset Beach. It is a very quiet beautiful location away from the main road in a Cul De Sac. Marari Edens Homestay is clean and comfortable with a veranda, gardens and hammock, and all of the tropical sounds in the evening that one might expect when staying in a beautiful hot Country.
You wake to the sound of the waves splashing in the sea and the beautiful sound of bird song.
Jeffin is the best host ever. He makes you feel like you are the only person in the world that matters to him. Jeffin organised getting my lost suitcase back to me, he organised food at short notice, he organised a courier to pick up beers from the Beverage Corporation, he made me coffee every morning and he ensured that we were happy during the whole of our 3 weeks stay.
Minnie is the best cook ever. Nothing too much trouble. We asked for prawns, we got it, we asked for fish curry we got it… chicken, rice and noodle dishes were plentiful.
Tanga, was always smiling and cheerful when cleaning the rooms, kitchen and garden.
Marari Edens location is fantastic, especially if you like a beer in a bar which is just 1.8km away.
Just a couple of metres along the beach at Marari Edens you will find the local fishermen out in their boats bringing in fresh fish to sell on the beach fish market. It is a wonderful sight seeing hard working men with their rustic fishing nets and birds swooping in trying to steal their catch of the day.
When you walk toward the main road, take a right to Mararikulam Beach and Mararikulum railway station, take a left to go to Artunkal and St Andrews Basilica. You can either catch a local bus approx. 12 rupees per person or you can walk. Mararikulum Beach is approx. 5k and the Basilica is approx. 4.44km. A rickshaw cost approx. 250 rupees.
The nearest ATM is 1.8km heading toward Artunkal and 4km toward Mararikulum Beach.
A train from Mararikulum railway station to Cochi is 10 rupees per person by return journey.
A bus to Alappuzha/ Allepey Backwaters is a 45 min journey cost approx. 26 rupees per person. A boat trip on the Backwaters cost approx. £500 rupees per hour for 2 people, look out for Rajesh,the boat owner and Sebastian who takes the boat out for the trip. They are a fabulous team. You can enjoy a meal and drink at the backwaters for approx. 500 rupees per person.

Stayed here on a trip around Kerala in May 2019 and was just looking at booking again which I would have sooner if it wasnt for COVID. Jeethu and Mimi are wonderful and treated me like family even plaiting my hair for me in the morning and arranging a tuk-tuk so I could get my brows threaded and buy a silver anklet from town. The food, the beach and peace and quiet were wonderful and I made good friends on this trip who I can't wait to see again.

Amazing!!
I wanted to take a moment to share my experience at marari Edens stay.I had asked the host for private beach candle light dinner for my spouse s bday..and the setup was just marvellous ..they had dimlights and candles that made it look even more romantic.The arrangements were just in place as everything went hand in hand. The host took care of everything starting from Champagne to starters till the desserts. The food was delicious and everything was served in time with no space for complaints. I appreciate the dedication and thoughtfulness of Mr.Nidhin in making this bday night unforgettable.

Best place to stay in Alleppey.
The best place to stay In Alleppey, almost private beach. Very less crowd, candle light dinner arrangement is awesome by them. Price is very affordable. Service is superb. I would love to visit Alleppey again just to stay here. Jithu is a superb host and u get to eat delicious food cooked by his mother.
