Good hotel. Satisfying food. Value for money for comfortable stay.

Conveniently located in the heart of the city. Easy to locate on the map. Nice atmosphere for travellers of all categories, families as well as business. Rooms are pleasant, cosy and spacious. It's value for money. Cleanliness is remarkable. Sound proofing of the rooms are remarkable too. Noise level of the lobby area has been keeping the place lively through out the day. Services are prompt and timely. Staffs in the restaurant and the front desk are cordial and dutiful. Smilling faces of the staff members of the housekeeping and security are encouraging. Amenities are modern and are convenient for senior family members. Staying here has been a good choice. Food is good and the menu is nicely set.

Rude staff

I stayed here for 3 nights because of the hotel's good quality. The meals were all OK, rooms were clean , everything was good until the checkout time came along. Lyfe hotel has one of the worst receptionist / supposed duty managers Umesh , he is such a rascal , very blatantly rude , arrogant and disrespectful. I had asked him for a small favour with my room , he abruptly said no , told me to go and speak with the GM. His tone was so harsh that I intended to speak with her seniors to which we replied "You pay your outstanding food bill and get out of the hotel" like I was a customer who meant nothing. This is extremely upsetting to hear this , I knew the chef Mr Alok as he had served me good dinner during my stay so I immediately got him to terms with it. After a while Mr Arup came along who was the front desk manager and got my request cleared instantly. Both Mr Alok and Mr Arup were extremely polite and courteous. Lyfe hotel should be ashamed to hire such unprofessional staff such as Umesh. Even as I left the hotel I told Umesh that he shouldn't have done what he did , that smug idiot just kept shouting" Thank you , Thank you " with a cheap smile on his face , the audacity of this guy. This trip was a complete disaster ! Good hotel but it's image completely destroyed by one idiot , Umesh.

With regard to the concern you raised, we would like to respectfully share the findings of our internal review. As per our records, your reservation was for a three-night stay under single occupancy, and you completed the check-out formalities on 12th July at 10:00 AM.
Subsequently, at approximately 11:00 AM, you returned to the hotel accompanied by another lady guest and requested the use of a room for approximately 2–3 hours to freshen up. As this request was made after check-out and involved an additional guest, it falls outside our standard hotel policy and would ordinarily be subject to applicable charges.
However, as a gesture of goodwill and hospitality, our team arranged a vacant room for your convenience to accommodate your request.
During our review, we were also informed that the conversation with our associate became unpleasant, and language was used that caused discomfort to our team member. We fully understand that situations can sometimes be stressful, and our associates remained committed to assisting you in a professional and courteous manner throughout the interaction.
Nevertheless, if any aspect of our communication or service left you feeling dissatisfied, we sincerely apologize. Delivering warm, respectful, and professional hospitality is our highest priority, and we regret any inconvenience you may have experienced.

Amazing Experience

Yesterday night, I had dinner with family at Hotel Lyfe Bhubaneswar to celebrate my birthday. I planned this special evening at Rooftop Restaurant, and it turned out to be an amazing experience.
Everything was perfect and very well managed by the hotel team. A special thanks to Chef Anand for serving authentic Mediterranean food. Each dish was beautifully presented, and I tried many items, every dish was superb.
The service staff was also excellent, attentive, and courteous throughout the evening.
Thank you, Lyfe team, for making my birthday celebration so memorable.

Overall, decent stay

My stay was good. The hotel has nice amenities, including a bar to watch the sport and a small gym with a cable machine and nice treadmills. Although I didn’t use the swimming pool during my stay, it also looked nice. The food was also very good, and the chef took the time to come out and show me which foods did not contain nuts on account of my nut allergy – he even cooked some foods fresh for me so he could remove the nuts. The staff are very kind, friendly and helpful, especially Prateek, who I think was one of the managers, who was very pleasant and again went the extra mile to ensure there was no nut cross-contamination in the bar for me, and got me my drinks served swiftly.
The rooms are spacious, with a large TV, good Wi-Fi, and a modern look. They are slightly let down by the hotel’s apparent limitation of the air conditioning’s power and temperature, which I presume is to save energy costs. While I am sure that locals find temperatures of around 21-22 degrees in their rooms sufficient, as someone from a cooler part of Europe, this is too hot for me. I had to remove the duvet and sleep in just the bed sheets to be able to sleep, which wasn’t as cosy. The lack of power from the air conditioning also made the room feel a bit stuffy. As an international hotel, perhaps they should also ensure their air conditioning is comfortable for international travellers. Nonetheless, overall the hotel is pretty good, and I would probably consider staying there again in the future.
