Decent place to stay in Chitradurga

The hotel is just a kilometre away from Chitradurga fort. The rooms are very basic. Staffs are very helpful and supportive. There we got to know from fellow travellers, if you book your room from MakeMyTrip, you will get dorm and not room. And then at the reception they will change to a room. This happened with us as well. Food is good, not spicy nor dull. It’s a good place to stay.

good for one night, but a bit expensive

The most austere reception, really not friendly, it feels like a soulless military base. Danger snakes, it started well for me and my phobia. Room immediately "not great". No wifi. A shabby table without a chair on the outdoor terrace, no toilet paper, and yes there is a jet. We asked for it and we were told NO!! (sorry but I don't like this cleaning method). 43€ per night anyway! Basic but good breakfast and friendly restaurant staff. Comfortable bedding, silent air conditioning, very spartan bathroom, but it does the job.
Very well placed, a stone's throw from the fort.

Very bad restaurant good location

This hotel has the best location in chitradurga just because it is a government hotel , rooms are average but expensive for their price, if a good hotel comes up in chitradurga then people would not use this property . Rooms are ok , but the restaurant is very bad, in fact for breakfast they just had idli and dosa, and when masala dosa came there was no sambar and when I asked the waiter Mr Monish he said masala dosa does not come with sambar, at check out I told the guy at the reception about this then he said they do provide sambar, this Monish was giving us breakfast as if like a charity and in this included breakfast there was nothing else like eggs etc, very very bad service I have been to so many hotels never seen such bad service hope the KSTDC management do something about useless staff like this ( Monish)

Decent accommodation option in Chitradurga

Located just opposite to Chitradurga Fort which is one of the main attractions of Chitradurga town. Has ample parking space and open lawn area where one can spend time. There is a restaurant attached. Overall, a good option to stay.
However, being a Govt owned played expected a bit stricter adherence to the Covid protocols. There was no temp check, not always and all the staffs using mask. No active sanitization.
Pros :
- Very close to fort, walkable
- Open space
- Filtered water
Cons :
- Rooms should have been cleaner and more sanitized.
- Deluxe room was small.
- Room 1~5 are facing some hall making the sitting area useless.

The best place to stay at Chitradurga

We wanted to break our journey to karwar and pit stopped at the KSTDC place at Chitradurga. The place is humble and nice with god service. We worked out of there and wifi was good. Food was decent and good for a nights stay. The rooms are simple but very clean and well maintained.
