Value for money

We spent a night recently at this hotel. Provides very good value for money. Bathrooms seem to be recently renovated. The room and bathroom are very spacious (haven't seen such large rooms in recent times). Service was quick. Overall it was a good experience and I certainly will stay there again if needed.

PATHETIC

This is hands down the worst hotel experience ever. The showers don't work. The washrooms aren't clean .The regulator for the fans don't work. Worst of all, we checked out early from ne out of the three rooms that we had checked in to but were still charged for the room. We checked out at 9:30 PM but the hotel charged us for the ENTIRE next day saying that we were to check out at 8 PM. But we were given no notice or reminders regarding this. PATHETIC

Avoid

Was offered non ac room since ac were full. Staff mentioned in order to be accomodative need to book directly from hotel and not online from makemytrip. Only got ac room after half a day. 24 hour chcekin checkout. Ambience was like a lodge.

If you're in the Older Block - Avoid it!

"Had to" stay here for a colleague's wedding for a night. Did not know then that there were two blocks - the old and the new. The previous reviews I believe were for the newer blocks which I was later told were quite now. I however had the rather sad luck of staying at the older block. I was initially given an A/C room - which on entering was filled with tiny cockroaches almost 50 of them. They were all over the place - on the bed, desk, sofa, bathrooms, everywhere. The attendant sprayed the usual "HIT" selectively - but that was far from being a solution to this mess. The washroom was dirty and the WC had not been cleaned for a while. I probably would have gotten a better deal if I had chosen dare in a Truth or Dare game. I managed to get an alternate room which seemed better (between the devil and the deep blue sea). The bathroom here too was sad, but was much better than the earlier one (which is not saying much). Luckily - I came back quite late from the function that night so did not have to spend much time sleeping in the really hard bed - eternally scared of being crawled on by another tiny roach!

new shanthi park royal

new and luxurious, well maintained and clean. We need to ask for the new block specifically.
You get personal service which was very good. The restaurant is worth trying and the bar is quite reasonably priced.
Lots of basement parking with a lift service
