⭐ Rating: 0.0 / 5
I had a very disturbing and unacceptable experience at Hotel Namaskar (Paharganj, Delhi).
At around 12:35 AM, the hotel reception staff called the room where children were staying and asked highly inappropriate questions like:
- “Aap kis room me so rahe ho?”
- “Mummy papa kahan so rahe hain?”
This is a serious breach of privacy and safety, especially when it involves kids. No hotel staff has any right to call guests late at night and ask such personal questions.
This kind of behavior raises major safety concerns and clearly shows lack of professionalism and security.
Special mention to the owner/management:
Your staff behavior is completely unacceptable. Either you are unaware of such activities or ignoring them — both are equally concerning. Immediate strict action is needed.
❌ I strongly advise families and travelers to avoid this hotel.
❌ Not safe, not professional, and absolutely not trustworthy.

Lord, Have Mercy—Avoid Hotel Namaskar at All Costs!

Well, where do I even begin? I reckon I’ve stayed in some humble places in my time, but Hotel Namaskar in Delhi, India? This was a whole new kind of trial—like something straight out of the book of Job.
First off, we show up and the man at the desk looked more confused than a goat on astroturf. Took nearly 45 minutes to find our reservation, even though I had it printed, emailed, and written in my prayer journal. The lobby smelled like a mixture of curry, mildew, and despair.
Y’all, the room… Lord help me, the room. It looked like it hadn’t seen a mop or a vacuum since the Reagan administration. There were stains on the sheets that I wouldn’t even let my hunting dogs sleep on. The bathroom? I’ve seen cleaner outhouses at Alabama county fairs. I turned on the faucet and it made a noise like it was choking on its own sin, then spit out brown water. I about cried.
Now I’m a good Christian woman—I believe in turning the other cheek—but even Jesus flipped a few tables, and I came mighty close myself when I saw the cockroach on the pillow. Not near the pillow. On the pillow. Like he paid for the night too.
The "free Wi-Fi" didn’t work unless you stood on one leg next to the window while holding your phone in the air like you were catching the Holy Spirit. I finally gave up and just read my Bible instead. Probably for the best.
The noise outside made me think the rapture was coming every 20 minutes. And I’m not exaggerating when I say the bed was harder than a preacher’s heart during a sermon on tithing.
I prayed on it, slept in my jeans, and left before dawn. The only blessing I received at Hotel Namaskar was making it out alive.

Would give 0 stars if I could.

I don’t even know where to begin. I went here a few years back, and I honest to god don't even know why. I’ve traveled all over the U.S. and even a few places abroad, but Hotel Namaskar in New Delhi was hands down the worst place I’ve ever stayed—and I’m being nice.
First of all, the area was terrifying. I’m a 38-year-old woman from Texas, and I felt completely unsafe walking down the street. It was chaotic, loud, and smelled like something died in the heat. Trash everywhere, cows in the road, people shouting—it was like something out of a bad documentary. I don’t know how people live like this.
I booked Hotel Namaskar because of the “budget traveler” reviews. Big mistake. The room looked NOTHING like the pictures. Dingy walls, broken fan, stained sheets (I’m 99% sure they weren’t even washed), and there was a mosquito the size of a small bird buzzing around all night. I asked the front desk for another room—no help. They just smiled and nodded like I was speaking Martian.
The “bathroom” was basically a wet cement closet with a hole in the floor. I’ve seen better setups in gas station restrooms back home. No hot water, and the towels looked like someone wiped a camel with them.
Oh, and the noise? Nonstop. Honking, yelling, and some kind of religious chanting at 5 A.M. I’m all for freedom of religion, but not when I’m trying to sleep after traveling 20 hours from the land of the free.
Look, I’m not trying to be rude, but this place made me miss Motel 6. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I ended up checking out early and finding a hotel with air conditioning, clean sheets, and respect for guests—three things this place clearly doesn’t prioritize.
Bottom line: If you’re a proud American used to basic standards of comfort and hygiene, avoid this place like the plague. I don’t care how “authentic” people say it is. I’ll take a Holiday Inn and some Chick-fil-A any day.
