Graceful Simplicity, Horses, and Warmth at Dundlod Fort
Our children wanted to be close to horses, and this is an excellent place for that. The stables are fantastic—clean, well maintained, and most importantly, the horses are clearly loved, well cared for, and treated with respect. Spending time around them was a highlight for both our kids and us.
Mallika and her entire team deserve a special mention. They are exceptionally warm, welcoming, flexible, and genuinely caring. From the moment we arrived, we felt looked after—not in a formal hotel-like way, but in a deeply personal, home-like manner. They went out of their way to ensure our children were comfortable and happy, which makes all the difference when travelling with young kids.
The food was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Every meal felt comforting and generous, adding to the feeling of being in a family home rather than a commercial hotel.
It’s important to set the right expectations: this is not a five-star luxury property. The amenities are basic, but they are clean, pleasant, and perfectly adequate. What you get instead is character, warmth, heritage, and authenticity. If you’re looking for polished luxury, this may not be the right fit—but if your purpose is to stay in a heritage fort, enjoy a slower pace, and spend meaningful time around horses, you will absolutely love it.
Overall, Dundlod Fort offers a beautiful, grounded, and heartfelt experience. We left feeling cared for, relaxed, and grateful—and our children left with memories they will carry for a long time. We would happily recommend it to families who value heritage, animals, and genuine hospitality over five-star frills.

Live Life Kingsize at Dundlod Fort
Our daughter loved spending time with the horses at the stables, and we thoroughly enjoyed the authentic local food and cultural experiences. A special mention to Mallyka, who was extremely prompt in responding to our messages and ensured we received the best possible service throughout our stay.
Highly recommended for families seeking an authentic and memorable heritage experience in Rajasthan.

Great experience starting in a firt with Horse safari experience
Food was also very nice home cooked types and served well.
