A Memorable Family Getaway

Had a wonderful stay with excellent hospitality and friendly staff.
The food was delicious, fresh, and well-prepared.
The scenic views from the property were absolutely stunning.
A perfect place for families, with a safe and kid-friendly environment.
We loved our experience and would love to stay here again. Highly recommended!

A Timeless Stay in Himalayan Kothis
A beautiful blast from the past — our stay in this traditionally built Kath-Kuni cottage was truly unforgettable. This ancient Himachali architectural style, used for centuries in building homes and temples, added a unique charm and authenticity to the experience.
Perched high in the mountains, the Kothi offered breathtaking views of the valley below, with a river weaving through and snow-capped peaks rising in the distance. Watching paragliders land gracefully in the valley was a mesmerizing sight.
Surrounded by lush peach and apple orchards, the property felt like a hidden gem. The peaches from the on-site tree were some of the juiciest we’ve ever tasted!
A special shoutout to Shalini, the wonderful host, for her warm hospitality and to the staff for their impeccable service. The food, comfort, and tranquility made this stay incredibly relaxing and memorable.
Highly recommended for those looking to unwind in nature, with a touch of history and heart.

Home away from home

Kothi Kais is an absolute treasure, nestled high above the hills, full of character and charm. It is a small property, beautifully managed by efficient and welcoming staff and stays true to the traditions of Kullu. Our rooms were so pretty! Spacious, comfortable and provided will every facility one could need, including heaters on request. But what blew us away were the gardens and lawns. Ms. Shalini has poured her soul into this haven, as can be seen from the beautiful, thriving plants and flowers of every colour to the orchards spread high over the hills. She fascinated us with facts about flora and fauna and accompanied us to some remote and truly divine sights that the average traveller would not even know existed. I have never before met anyone so deeply invested into making sure her guests are well looked after.
The food was excellent and homely. They encouraged local dishes and we enjoyed them.
Previous reviews have mentioned cockroaches. I must write that, despite our rooms being on the ground floor, we didnt see any. There were beetles that found their way in but these are harmless and to be expected from any place that embraces nature like Kothi Kais does. That said, every door and window has insect proof netting and the staff is very oblidging about removing insects, when asked.
This was not just a hotel, this was a home and, in fact, turned out to be the highlight of our holiday! We look forward to someday visiting again.

Luxurious stay with nature's creations and comfortable 5 Rooms with full view of Kullu Valley ,,all needful toiletries, linen

Best place to stay in Kullu Valley,,5 Rooms property Apple Orchard,,full view of Kullu Valley,,and Bias river,,,owner is very helpful and believes in excellent hospitality,house keeping,cooking and servece staff excellent and polite.

Horrible experience.never recommend this place

It was horrible experience.filthy rooms.dirty bedsheets and pillows.
Utensils were so dirty.glasses and jugs in the water so dirty.
Bathrooms were filled with cockroaches.
Horrendous experience
Never recommended at all.
food was good.

We regret to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify that the second day's booking was cancelled on your request, and as per our standard policy, a partial charge was applicable due to prior blocking of the space.
Regarding the concerns raised, we maintain standard cleanliness protocols and have not encountered similar issues from other guests. The remarks about cockroaches are surprising given the altitude and conditions of our location, where such pests are extremely rare.
While feedback is always welcome, we believe some of the claims may have been influenced by the payment dispute. Nonetheless, we remain committed to improving and appreciate your time in sharing your thoughts.
