Great location and service in Pangong, with realistic expectations
The biggest advantage of this property is its location. Our room, 113, was one of the closest rooms to the lake and waking up so close to Pangong Lake was a fantastic experience. The lake itself was the highlight of our Ladakh trip and we were fortunate to have good weather when we arrived, allowing us to enjoy the incredible changing colours of the water and capture some beautiful photographs.
The staff at the resort deserve special appreciation. They were extremely helpful, polite and responsive. Extra towels, toiletries, mattresses, blankets and pillows were provided whenever we requested them without any hesitation.
Another thing I appreciated was the transparency. The staff informed us in advance that hot water was available for only around one hour in the evening and one hour in the morning. They even came to our room to remind us when the hot water supply was starting and ending, which was genuinely helpful.
Internet connectivity was limited, however this appeared to be related to the security monitoring restrictions in the area rather than the hotel itself.
Having said that, travellers should set their expectations appropriately. There is no AC, fan or refrigerator in the rooms. For a property in a remote location at around 4,300 metres, these limitations are understandable, and we were informed that this is among the better accommodation options currently available in the Pangong area.
One useful tip regarding room selection: I would recommend asking for rooms 101–107 if available. Our room 113 was very close to the lake, however rooms 108–113 have an under-construction building/cottages in front of the balcony which partially affects the lake view.
Overall, the location, staff and service made our stay enjoyable. Pangong is a remote and challenging destination and this property does a good job of providing a comfortable stay within those limitations.
If you're visiting Pangong, I would recommend staying here — just come prepared for the realities of a remote high-altitude destination and focus on what really matters: that spectacular lake right outside your door.

Lovely stay at Pangong heritage
Our kids enjoyed the stay a lot, and the entire experience was memorable. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was delicious, and the hospitality was outstanding.
Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and memorable stay at Pangong Lake!
