Rooms are good and hygenic

Located in heart of the city in mangalore
Rooms are spacious
Good hotel staffs
Room service very nice.
Sea food very nice in mangalore
Visited lot of temples and beaches
Also pilikula park and manasa water park

Run away

We are two women, our bus arrived very early in Mangalore last night (4:30 am) and we asked a tuktuk driver for advice on how to end the night somewhere. He took us to this hotel, the man showed us the prices at reception, we were ready to pay. He asks us for our passports, and finally tells us that it's not possible and kicks us out with a smile on our faces. Racism/scam? We don't know, but leaving us in the middle of the night in the city like that is not very welcoming, really very disappointed with our first impression of the city of Mangalore

Megha residency.. affordable and good...

Megha residency is located in hampankatta mangalore exactly at the heart of the city. Affordability and good hotels are the problems faced by solo travellers always, on their exploration of cities. Megha residency is an answer for that. I booked a single non ac room through a travel site, which I got at a very cheap rate. The check in process was very smooth and they allows 24 hour check-in. Room was well maintained, good mattress and linen, television, well maintained bathroom with hot water supply from 6am to 10am. The fan in the room is sufficient to keep the room cool.This hotel doesn't have any restaurant or complimentary breakfast. But lot of good food options are available near to this. Mineral water is chatged, more than the MRP which was one of the drawback i faced at this hotel. Baggage can be kept at the reception of we have got some other program in the city. Altogether it's a good option for the travellers, especially solo travellers in mangalore.

Frisky Oyster of Greenport NY

the Frisky Oyster is a horrible restaurant!
I had a reservation for 12 ,for my Birthday party.We were all staying in town,just for my birthday party.I had the whole weekend planned from morning to night,along with dinner reservations.The first night was great!The second night was to take place at the Frisky Oyster.We arrived on time only to be refused our dinner reservation,because we were told that I didn't get back to them.I was never told I needed to do this,and besides they took my credit card,25 dollars per person to hold our reservation.What more do you need? the place was adamant,that it was our fault ,and we were told to leave,So at 7:30 on a Saturday night out in the cold running from place to place looking for a resaraunt to have dinner,It was awful!!

Good & Safe Place to Stay in City !

I booked this hotel for my family (myself,wife,mom & Aunt. They were new to Mangalore so i was searching a hotel which is near to Railway Station. I read mixed reviews about this hotel so while booking i had 50-50 mind about this Hotel. But Must say This hotel is very safe, Neat and clean. We reached Mangalore at 8.30. i called at reception and they guided the route (also they sent one person to pick us). its hardly 5 minute walk from station. The Hotel manager was so supportive. Since i booked the room through "OYO" my check in time was 12pm. but they gave the room by 9 itself. Room was very big, neat and clean. They provided Hot water and best room service. The only bad thing i found is food. breakfast they provided was not so great.
Pros :
1) Location - you can access any place from this hotel. Also its walkable distance from Railway Station
2) Staff - Very Supportive staff, they will assist you anytime for any help
3) Room - Big rooms, Neat and clean. 24 hrs Hot water availble
4) Good Management - Owner of this hotel and manager treat you like a family memer
5) Safety - Very safe hotel, middle of the city. They will not send any unknown person to the hotel
cons :
1) Food - Breakfast they provided was not tasty
