One of the most memorable...trip ever...

Nothing....negative to say about this place...and room....it just mindblowing....such a lovely place very silent...sea facing room.. With continuous breeze...the owner of the rooms(Mr. Ashvit) is very cooperative...efficient with his hk team....mostly they focus on sanitization...due to covid..which is very much appreciated...room are at very affordable price..compare to others...king size bed...vd gud mattress....overall feedback is 10/10....accordingto me...i would like other to try this place once....never miss it...

Unprofessional, unfriendly unhygienic stay

Do not book these Luxury Beach Huts.
You will be very disappointed.
We booked direct with Hilltop Sea View. We paid upfront in full for 8 nights.
Upon
arrival in the early hours of the morning we were told they did not have a room for us.
They had a very poor unfriendly, unprofessional attitude.
We eventually got our room on night 3.
The room was very unhygienic.
See photos. Not at all luxury!
The owners constantly lied to us. Gave many excuses. We were told not to post a review.

Average Stay

We had booked 5rooms. Service was average. No soap or water placed in the room as the room inclusions here state. We had to ask or soap at the reception which was then provided. Rooms were not very clean. Bathroom was dirty. One room had the bathroom mirror broken and the glass pieces were still lying on the floor when we entered. Spotted a spider too in the room.. One good thing about the place is the amazing view. Also these rooms are a little away from all the bustling crowd since it is about 200m away form the main palolem beach.
However,there are plenty of beach huts on the same stretch.and a few better one's in the same price range. The owner lady in a saree however was pretty nice

Very rustique family cottage on the hill top

Arriving at Hill Top Sea View Cottages is bit of an ordeal. Even though the reception supposed to be open 24/7 there is no-one to help you through the jungle path with you luggage when you arrive at the closest accessible point by car. We had booked the family cottage and quite frankly it was a bit disappointing. At the price of 3300 IRS per night (incl. taxes), one would at least expect to find a comfortable and clean cottage waiting.
To our great dismay, we could the place uncleaned, leftover food in an uncleaned fridge, dirty and wanting kitchenwares and mucky floors. Under normal circumstances you would expect a cottage for four people equipped with glasses and cutlery for four, but not so at Hill Top Sea View.
Their description on Booking.com said the cottage had two double beds with moquito nets. We found one double bed and the they brought two very worn mattresses for the kids. No mosquitonet for the second bed. Luckily we had brought our own.
When we complained, we found our hosts very uncooperative. All kinds of stories emerged as to why everything was in shambles, but unfortunately our hosts had not corroborated their stories which made them come across as insincere. Their service was equally wanting. At times it took them 24 hours to deliver a roll of toilet paper. We bought our own at the local store.
They demanded payment up front and since we had booked for seven days through booking.com, we had to stay for the full period in order not loose money. Not once during this time was our unit serviced.
True, the view is great, but you are basically sitting on the top of a garbage dump. Don't look to the sides or behind you!

Clean rooms in great location

Simple but clean accommodation. Great location, easy walking distance to both Patnem and Palolem beaches. The staff were really helpful and flexible. Lovely cafe next door which serves great food overlooking the sea.
