Terrible
A lovely property that’s void of maintenance, management or any regard for its guests. Here’s the facts….their website makes a whole pile of claims that are not true - firstly that the room was flooded with natural light. My initial room was dark with broken blinds. Their custom made linens on my bed were stained and the towels in the bathrooms are very old smelly and need replacing. It was quite clear on arrival that my geyser didn’t work….and rather than apologize and move me to a room where the geyser did work they just kept claiming it did work. So 3 cold showers and 2 visits by an electrician later - all disturbing my peaceful stay - they finally conceded the geyser was broken and moved me to what appeared to be a lovely room on the terrace. However after I’d spent half the morning moving rooms it became apparent that the WiFi router was broken (I fixed this myself as the manager was away and the owner had no idea) Also that the shower had a trickle of water coming through so I was forced to bucket bath….and the best bit was the the door did not lock. I discovered the unlockable door just as I was leaving to meet friends for lunch at which point they refused to come up with a solution for me to secure my valuables. 40minutes of arguing later - even telling me there was not a spare room where I could lock my valuables because they were all booked. This was a straight out lie. They also suggested I move rooms - again! (Even though they were all supposedly booked) They also told me the room I was staying in was not actually a room for guests and why the room didn’t lock and nothing worked. Another lie given this room is advertised on their website (Ahilya No 3) All in all I was the unpaid maintenance person for Bitasta for my 6 day stay contributing to a very stressful and unrelaxing stay in Pondicherry. And you pay upwards of 5000 / night to be constantly lied to and treated like crap. Never ever again

Breach of privacy at this terrible place
I recently traveled to Pondicherry with my husband and our 3-year-old child for a week-long stay. To accommodate our needs, we chose an Airbnb that offered kitchen access so I could quickly prepare or reheat food for our little one. The place had glowing reviews, except for a few from 2018 criticizing the host's attitude, but we decided to book it since it met all our criteria.
Initially, I was thrilled upon seeing the room. However, starting Monday, our experience began to deteriorate rapidly. After our complimentary breakfast each day, the host would lock the kitchen. I managed to cope for a couple of days, but then things got worse. When I asked the helpers for fresh drinking water and utensils, they told me the host had instructed that the kitchen was off-limits and we should fill our bottles from the washbasin outside the bathroom, claiming the whole house had filtered water. The helpers were really nice, but there was little they could do when their employer restricted them from serving us. I was disgusted and heartbroken.
One evening, my child was napping when our food arrived, and he woke up to cold, unappetizing food. The rotis had turned tough and inedible. Desperate to provide a proper meal, I found myself unable to reheat the food since the kitchen was locked. I had to order something else, but it took Swiggy 30 minutes to deliver, and my hungry, upset child had to make do with biscuits that night. I felt utterly helpless and regretted not booking a hotel, where we wouldn't have faced such issues.
Someone from these folks opened my amazon parcel also. It clearly had my name on it, but still someone went ahead and opened my parcel, took out the product and then also they were not satisfied, took out the content from the product box also. Later one of the helper, Jamshed( who opens and closes doors for you everytime you come or go) said, Didi, they opened your parcel. That's all. No apology from anyone! I was so shocked! What kind of people are these.
This host is the worst anyone could ever encounter.
