A Memorable Stay In Srinagar: Exceptional Hospitality at Hotel Crescent.
Last week, my family and I, including my wife and our two-year-old daughter, visited Srinagar. Before starting our journey, we were both excited and a bit nervous, anticipating the cold weather. However, everything went smoothly, and we returned to Vizag last night with beautiful memories.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Hotel CRESCENT for their incredible hospitality during our three-day stay in Kashmir. From providing delicious, home-cooked Kashmiri Wazwan to ensuring our comfort with room heaters and warm blankets, the hotel made our trip truly special. The staff was extremely cooperative, and the food was both tasty and reasonably priced. What made our stay even more memorable was the panoramic view of Dal Lake from our room window—it added a magical charm to the experience. The hotel staff also went the extra mile to assist us in exploring Kashmir’s famous tourist spots.
If anyone is planning a trip to Kashmir, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Crescent. They will ensure you have a delightful experience.
A special thanks to the hotel owner, Muthair, whose warm and hospitable nature made our stay even more comfortable. He arranged everything with such care and affection, leaving us with wonderful memories of this trip.

Heaven!
Hotel Crescent is an exceptional family run hotel. From the first communications with Sameer - the manager, I knew I had chosen the right place to stay. He arranged pick up from the airport and was waiting for me on the main road to carry my bag to the hotel! The hotel is situated on the banks of the lake, but on a quieter road. There are many local families that live here, and it’s lovely seeing the children playing games on the street. The nearby busier area of the lake - ghat number 1 - is only a 5 minute walk, but it’s super busy and only hotels and Shikara (boat) ride sellers are there. This location is perfect as it’s away from traffic (no cars near the hotel) and therefore away from noise too. All you hear are the peaceful birds and calls to prayer. The rooms are beautiful - big, spacious and clean which is the most important thing for me. Although no AC, the fan is more than enough for the hot august weather, so don’t let that put you off. Bathrooms are great, hot water 24/7 and towels, toiletries etc all provided. Even slippers! I got a free room upgrade too, but both rooms have fabulous views overlooking the river. You can see the Shikaras and local fishermen rowing past throughout the day. The menu for the hotel is amazing, available whenever you want anything, and freshly cooked to order by his family who live behind the hotel. There are lots of things to do here in Srinagar and it can be quite overwhelming, but Sameer was amazing at helping me plan some activities etc. He is very knowledgeable about the best things to do and has a lot of contacts. You can just sit back and relax and let him sort everything out. He even drove me to a few places himself which was very kind. I did 2 shikara rides through him with Altaf, who is a wonderful man. It was more like a tour - we had great conversation and I learned a lot from him about local life and culture. Stay here - you won’t regret it! I will definitely be returning for my next trip!

2 Star Hotel Almost.
An awesome place to stay.
It’s almost a 2 star property with almost all the facilities.
I choose this place because of a Lake View and am kissing myself for the same.
We were provided a King Room with Lake and Mountain View.
Our King Room was superb in size filled with all the amenities like tea,coffee,milk creamers,sugar sachets and water bottles too which was complimentary.
Washroom was tidy and contained also the important toiletries,bath towels,soaps,Hand Wash and the toilet paper too.
Food was really tasty and huge in Choice,we loved there specialities section in the menu more.
We even hired the Cab services from Hotel too,we were provided a professional driver with a premium quality of Car.
Shikara Ride was also awesome.
Our host was really great professional and even friendly too.
I will definitely recommend this Hotel to everyone here.

Homely Experience in Srinagar
A five star wouldn't be enough to judge this property. Me and my family never felt I was away from home. Such a homely feeling.
1. The owner Mr. Sameer yusuf is a polite and friendly guy. He always assisted us with anything we want. He himself and his family never left us alone and always were with us until we checked out.
2. The delicious home cooked food was mouth watering, for example Dal Fry, Egg Masala, Yakhni Chicken and all.
3. Location was prime. You can see the dal lake and shikara activities from the window of your room.
4. The room was clean. Power backup was there for Srinagar's frequent power cut. They provided us electric kettle with tea and coffee Sachets, Extension board, Charging light and all other necessary amenities.
Me and my family are frequent travellers and never seen a property with those golden hearted people.
Kudos to you Sameer bhai and family for all the warm gestures.

Good alternative if you dont want to stay at hausboat, dal lake view from room. Nice and clean.
Good place to stay if you look for alternative to hausboat. Owner treat us nicely, room was spacious with beautiful view at Dal lake, everything within walking distance, small shop just next to the hotel. Bathroom and bed sheets were nice and clean.
