Great Experience! Must Stay in Srinagar

We stayed at the suite . It is very spacious and cosy with all amenities. The food was excellent and room service was punctual. Mr. Aquib and Mr. Wasim was very helpful during our check in and made our stay very warm. Bathroom was very clean and hot running water 24hrs. Climate control in the suite worked perfectly. Thank you.

Disappointing Food Experience at a 4-Star Hotel

While the rooms and overall infrastructure at The Olive Hotel in Srinagar were acceptable, the dining experience was deeply disappointing.
Stale Food: We were served stale food on three separate occasions—twice during breakfast and once at dinner.
No Accountability: Management did absolutely nothing to fix the issue after we formally complained.
Poor Buffet Selection: The buffet variety was incredibly limited for a hotel claiming four-star status.
Misleading Focus: the dishes lacked accomplishment and flavor especially for vegetarians, the hotel has potential, but the kitchen management and lack of responsiveness to food safety issues ruined our stay.

Unprofessional behaviour

I stayed at the hotel for 2 days on the 4th floor. During my stay, the housekeeping staff came to clean my room along with the housekeeping head. The housekeeping head made me feel very uncomfortable and nervous. There was a strong smell of cigarettes coming from him, and he started asking me personal questions, which I found inappropriate and unprofessional. His behavior was very rude and made my stay unpleasant. I hope the management takes this matter seriously and ensures better professionalism from the staff in the future.

Comfortable Stay at The Olive – Stylish Rooms, Room for Improvement in Buffet Breakfast

Stayed for one night in July with my family at Hotel The Olive. It’s a newly built, well-decorated property with clean, modern interiors and comfortable rooms. The ambiance is welcoming and feels quite premium for a short family stay.
The overall hospitality was good, and the front desk staff were polite and helpful.
However, the restaurant services were slightly off the mark. The limited menu options in the buffet breakfast were noticeable, and the overall dining experience could be improved with better variety and service efficiency.
Still, a solid choice for a stylish, centrally located hotel with good potential.
