The beer is also good and the host its excellent!
I will recommend this place to visit and try good beer and perfect pizza.
With friends, or with family, this is the place to be, to see, eat and visit.
Also this area is so beautiful to walk, ski, and mount walking.

Bad experience

The worst experience while traveling, and maybe even in my life... I made a reservation over the phone. Maybe we misunderstood each other regarding the price. When I saw this so-called “hotel” and the arrogant staff, I definitely didn’t want to pay for such services. The hotel manager was so aggressive that I was genuinely afraid of him. I was there alone with my child. I preferred to leave quickly, kept my dignity, and walked away.

They cancel our reservation 48 hours before the check in by their mistake

They cancel our reservation 48 hours before the check in by their mistake. We sent an e-mail with our complains and the employee was ironic and rude. That is unacceptable they are totally untrusted. Be very carefull with the resignation at this hotel

Old World Charm

It was freezing cold of December and I was loving it. I had never seen so much snow as much as I saw in Austria. It became my favorite European county for more than one reason. After wrapping up my tour of Salzburg I was heading to Hallstatt and I was to stay at this little place called Bad Goisern.
When I booked the hotel for my stay, I never knew that this was a UNESCO World Heritage Site east of Salzburg and that the family-run Gasthof Zur Post looks back to a very long tradition business. All I looked at was that this property was situated close to Lake Hallstatt. As soon as I checked-in I was shown how to reach my room and how the entry and exit worked and at what hours. I had a good view from my room and all I could see around was snow everywhere.
The breakfast served was nice and the owners were very friendly too. Because it was Christmas time, the property was not too packed and there was plenty of room for you to enjoy. Every one was hospitable. The owner even dropped me and few other guests to the nearest railway station. Loved everything about my stay here.

Great as always!

This is the 4th time my husband and I have stayed here. We have always had the same room and it's always great. The room is spacious and spotless, very comfortable and has a large terrace. There is a lift and free parking. The breakfast is good and the location is very close to all nearby sights in the Salzkammergut region. Now, on to the owners and their restaurant... Kathi and Seppi are very welcoming, their staff have always treated us with respect and are very helpful. The restaurant is very good and Seppi makes the BEST Garlic Cream Soup!!! You can't stay here and not enjoy Seppi's cooking!
