Decent and a great view on a clear day

We had lunch here - decent gulaschsuppe with bread, then came back late after wandering around the rest of the area here and had very nice hot chocolate and apricot cake! Not too overpriced especially given the location. The main till accepts credit cards but the coffee and cake one is cash only.

Don't go.

Do not go here to eat at all. They are rude, the bathroom you pay, or rather first you have to pay, then they give you back the money only if you have consumed. They also charge you for non-bottled water. A glass of spring water costs €1. I don't think it's even legal. I'll look into it. All with an uncommon rudeness for a mountain place in Austria. Yeah.

Good kitchen

The panoramic restaurant scores points for its location and great mountain views. There are all kinds of Austrian delicacies. The curd strudel and the Kaiserschmarren were good. The beer was also tasty. But why they have Paulaner is a mystery to me. Good self-service restaurant!

Restaurant with a beautiful view of the Großglockner

Restaurant with the best view of the Grossglockner (easy to reach on foot). The food is served quickly and has an average taste. The prices are on the higher end, but that's worth it for the view.

Great Views, tired, simple accommodation

The location is the reason for booking this B&B. We had some great views in the evening as we arrived. However, it was cloudy in the morning.
The car park is on the road and a glass lift takes you up to the restaurant. That is a cafeteria type where you also check in.
The first staff lady we met was rather tired and grumpy. When we met her in the morning, she was much brighter and pleasant.
You then go out of the cafe, up some stone stairs, to floor 1. Here there are toilets and a guest room. The room has drinks both hot and cold. You record on paper what you have, then pay for it on check out. This room looks very like a youth hostel. plain, tired and run down.
Stairs up again to floor 2, again, tired and run down.
Room 1: Functional, clean and warm; old and tired but satisfactory; beds comfortable. You can hear the other guests outside as all flooring is wooden.
Breakfast was offered for €16 but we didn’t take it.
We ate in the cafeteria in the evening for just desserts and drinks. Cheap and cheerful standard. Lady in there was really lovely. not much english but we managed.
Walked up from out the back of the B&B and saw lots of Marmots. Great views.
There’s a souvenir shop in the restaurant area also.
