Landhaus Streklhof is set amidst the hills and meadows of Southern Carinthia, 3 km from Lake Wörthersee and 4 km from the centre of Velden. It offers an outdoor pool with a large sunbathing area, an indoor pool, a sauna, a steam bath, and a sun bed.

A place to feel good – Streklhof in Velden
My stay at Streklhof was simply fantastic. From the first moment you feel the loving and family atmosphere that makes this house so special. Every nook and cranny is designed with heart, and the entire team makes you feel welcome with genuine warmth.
The spa and indoor pool area is a real highlight – perfect for relaxing and recharge your batteries. Whether relaxing in the warm water or relaxing in the sauna, everyone will find their own personal feel-good moment here.
Special praise goes to Eva, who has the Service and the bar under control with impressive professionalism and warmth. The boss and senior manager are also always present and take care of the concerns of all guests with a lot of commitment and attention – this creates trust and a real sense of home.
I travelled with a group and we all felt very comfortable from the first moment to the last. The proximity to the centre of Velden is another plus – in a few minutes you are in the middle of the action and can still enjoy the peace and quiet of the Streklhof.

Lights and shadows
I'll be very concise and clear:
Positive notes :
very beautiful context as landscape
very nice indoor pool
all-female friendly and smiling staff
breakfast overall good.
Negative notes:
there is no air conditioning in the rooms and in July and August it is still hot even in these areas
rooms with furniture a little old and beds not very comfortable;
dinner (but we only had dinner one night) is not good or, rather, it is good perhaps for a German clientele that, from what I have seen, represents 90%, certainly not for us Italians; messy food full of sauces.
parking on the hotel side totally without lighting.
Conclusion: the hotel is proposed as a 4-star but, given the experience we have in terms of hotel, it is more of a 3-star maybe S.

Dear Mr. B., thank you for your review, your honest words and your stay. Thank you too, that you praised our team.
We feel sorry, that you didn't enjoy your stay as we want our guests to do and unfortunately one evening our dinner did not correspond to your expectations.
Oh yes, you got one of the older rooms for single use. We still only have two of these rooms and they are going to be renovated in spring 2025. I hope the rest of your family enjoyed the new rooms, which they had during their stay.

Very relaxing days!!
We stayed there for 3 nights to recover from our long bike ride. We felt very comfortable and can only agree with most reviews.
Thanks to the team and operators and the warm words of the senior manager
Thanks to the kitchen
Even if the hotel is outside you are quickly down by the lake.
However, small things should be done in the price category.
Wall corners in the hallway that are heavily damaged.
The glass on the balconies broken and the balcony so in very bad condition.
Know that there may be a lot of children and they will definitely block the indoor pool.

Great and relaxing holiday!
We were already in 2022 at the Streklhof and were really excited. Also this year we spent super relaxing days at this hotel. From the very attentive, courteous and friendly service, the excellent cuisine to the perfect hotel amenities to the great and very quiet location of the hotel everything fit again. An all-round feel-good holiday. Again, the excellent and varied cuisine must be emphasized. Both the extensive breakfast buffet and the very varied evening menus met our tastes again. Thanks again to the whole Streklhof team!

A feel-good oasis at any time of the day.
Excellent ambience in the hotel and outside. Excellent food.
Great sauna complex and beautiful indoor and outdoor pool. Very nice and large rooms with a unique mountain panorama above the fog line. Excellent service staff.
