A true Alpine experience: Lesachtallerhof

Liesing is a very small town tucked into the steep sides of the Lesachtal valley in Austria, a day’s hike from the Italian border. It is a place of  clean mountain air, healthy appetites(because of the challenging hiking/biking), afternoon naps(see above) and an astounding devotion to music, classical, alpine and otherwise. Overlooking the valley with clear, panoramic views of the regal mountains is the Lesachtalerhof, a very special inn, restaurant and bar run by Anna and Ferdinand. Anna is a class A chef, preparing local dishes as well as Italian specialties and various tastes from around the world. Ferdinand helps with the serving chores but his passion is the search for the perfect gin and tonic. He’ll take you on a tasting journey you might never forget—or may have troubling remembering in the morning. This is a great find in a wonderful corner of the world. In June/July, Liesing hosts the AlpenKammerMusik festival. Concerts are open to the public and worth the voyage.

Wonderful hosts

We had such a wonderful experience at Lesachtalerhof! The hospitality here is next level, from the moment we arrived we felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The catering was absolutely delicious, hearty, fresh meals that made us look forward to every mealtime.
Ferdinand and Anna, the hosts, are what really make this place special. They're charming, warm, and full of energy, always ready for a chat and quick to respond to anything we needed. You can tell they truly care about their guests, they go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and at home. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
If you're looking for a place with genuine, big hearted hosts and a real sense of warmth, Lesachtalerhof is it. I left feeling like part of the family and can't wait to return

Fantastic views

We stayed at Lesachtalerhof 6 days and really enjoyed it. Our room had stunning views, a beautiful balcony and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts Ferdinand and Anna are very kind and helpful.

Where you feel like home, family oriented hotel

Spend 2 nights to be close to Cortina to see Olympics. Rooms are very nice,especially baths and sauna are finest! Freundly Host Ferdinand made us feel welcomed. recommend for your stay in that area.

Great potential

We spent 4 nights there, the place looks nice and the owner is friendly and always available. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, the room is clean and has a nice and typical style. The only reason why I’m not giving 5 stars is the breakfast which is too expensive compared to the quantity and quality of the food
