Stay with strengths and weaknesses!
We came to this area mainly for hiking, so we chose the hotel mainly for relaxing. There are very few hotels with pools in the area.
We had got the last available room, but that the house was fully booked, you basically did not notice. However, we noticed the many children who walked up and down the hallway with us every night.
The room itself was a pleasant size and had a nice balcony overlooking the spa. There was a bath bag with towels and bathrobes a minibar, which also has room for your own as well as a round table, a couch chair and a desk chair. Here you could also work well with the laptop. There was also enough storage space.
However, the bathroom has already gotten a bit old, the door coating was torn open at the bottom, the toilet flushing only worked with a lot of pressure and also the products that are available are expandable. Our amenity kit was even open and part was missing.
Worst for us, however, were the beds, which were so soft that we woke up daily with back pain. The TV was also from another era. There were many German-language channels, but we are actually used to smart TVs in the hotels we stayed in the last few years, but they did not exist here. The Wi-Fi was also extremely slow. I unfortunately had to work a little during my stay and that made everything rather tedious.
Since I don't eat in the evening, we only booked breakfast. There were some great things like VERY much choice of fruits and vegetables and really very good pastries. The rest was appropriate to a house of this category, but not exceptional. The tea selection was very good, but my beloved latte macchiato did not exist.
But I really have two things to complain about here: Although the staff were friendly, our table was never cleared during the meal, although we had everything put together at the beginning of the table. The place was cramped as a result. And underneath the table it was creepy, there were lots of crumbs and even leftover food at the next table – and the neighbours were not yet at breakfast. Too bad.
We had little to do with the staff, the lady at the reception was very friendly and tried, especially not put on, we liked that well. She also explained a lot to us because it was our first stay. At breakfast the friendliness was also present, as mentioned, the service regarding dishes unfortunately not.
The hotel pool was nice but really small for swimming. You could really swim in the thermal baths only in the sports pool, but that was also okay, you know that from thermal baths so. The spa itself had come in years and you can see that at all corners and ends, there are currently much better things on the market, especially in Austria.

A price that is too high for what they offer.
From the website and the described services, I expected to find a different facility. Basically, without a sauna, you are going to a swimming pool with an entrance fee of more than 40 euros, excluding the bathrobe and towel that you have to bring from home if you don't want to pay an additional 15 euros.
I understand the culture of the clothing-optional sauna which is justified by hygienic reasons, but let's talk about the fact that all the services in that area are for nudists, including the hot tubs. Where is the hygiene in sitting naked in a tub without protection for the intimate areas?
If we exclude the sauna area, what is left? The outdoor pool with lounge chairs, nice, but it really has very little of a spa.
Lowering the prices, in my opinion, would be honest. And don't talk about hygiene, but rather a nudist area by choice. At least be clear and write it in English for tourists as well.

First, the positive: The staff was really very friendly, the water attractions were fun, and the food was very delicious. The prices in the restaurant were also absolutely fair. We were also lucky that the thermal spa was not overcrowded, which allowed us to spend a relaxing day.
Unfortunately, there were also a few points that, in my view, do not justify the admission price of nearly €50 per person at all.
For one thing, the thermal spa is rather small overall and there are only a few pools. None of them were really warm – the water temperatures were at a maximum of 34.5 °C and below. Even the whirlpools in the sauna area were surprisingly cool. For a thermal spa, I would have expected significantly more pleasant water temperatures.
However, what bothered me the most were the women's showers. Although there are partitions, they are only about a meter long, made of frosted glass, and additionally have a large gap in the middle. The showers are completely open at the top and bottom, so you hardly feel protected from prying eyes. In the sauna area, that might still be acceptable to some, but in the normal bathing area, I think that is absolutely incomprehensible and outdated at this admission price.
Overall, we still had a nice day. Nevertheless, one should know before visiting that the thermal bath is rather small, the water temperatures are a maximum of 34.5 °C, and in my view, the high admission price does not correspond to what is offered.

Great relaxation days
I really liked it here. I really liked the spa. The infusions in the Suna are a highlight. Personally, I like smaller thermal baths better than too large ones. The hotel incl. breakfast was top. One had unrestricted its tranquility and large beautiful rooms with blackout curtains. Also Köflach is a great smaller place. I'll be back for sure.
