Excellent Hotel, and Location.

My wife and have just had 7 excellent days staying at this Hotel on a Bed/Breakfast basis. The Hotel is rated as a 3 star but I would overall give it 4 stars.
The breakfast each day was very good and I rate this 4 stars, and the Hotel location 5 stars. We had pre requested a upper floor room but not the top floor in the main building with a balcony and good valley/mountain views. We were allocated on arrival Room 2 on the first floor above the ground floor in the main building and this was excellent and although the bathroom was small it had a very good walk-in rain shower. The balcony had 2 seats/table and 2 deckchairs and was just perfect for relaxing and admiring the views. The hotel also has excellent indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna etc. The service from the Hotel Owner, Agatha who runs this family hotel was always welcoming and friendly. We would certainly recommend this Hotel and would return here again.

Excellent hotel and great value

We got a great deal through Crystal on this hotel. It was our third visit in a row to Mayrhofen and we knew this hotel was on the edge of town. I was a little worried that it was too far out and maybe a little ‘tired’ after reading some of the reviews. We needn’t have worried. Friendly and hospitable staff, excellent breakfast and great leisure facilities (2 saunas, a steam room, relaxation room, pool and outdoor jacuzzi!). Our room was a decent size but some in our party had quite small rooms and some of the bathrooms are ‘cosy’! It doesn’t matter though, it was a skiing holiday and we spent very little time in them. The walk to the Penkenbahn took 11 minutes (we had lockers there so didn’t have to carry skis or walk in ski boots). I’d definitely recommend this hotel, it’s got everything and is close enough to everything but in a nice quiet corner of town.

Good for a quick transit stay

Stayed here for a one-night pre-hike transit and the hotel is perfect for this. The single room had extremely outdated furniture but the bed was sufficiently confortable for a quick sleep. The hotel’s staff however was great with the communication also prior to arrival arranging for a late check-in. The breakfast was the best part of the stay, a really terrific spread. The overnight was also reasonably priced so overall a bag of mixed feelings.

Excellent value, super clean ,pool area and spa brilliant

There are many hotels In Mayrhofen to choose from but you can’t go wrong with the Obermair,Agatha and staff have a true Austrian welcome.The hotel is clean,pure white bedding,everything you need . The swimming pool and spa is excellent . Showers like a space age ,plenty of towels ,warm water ,sauna and a room to relax. Breakfast …so much choice from cereals, yogurt , fruit ,many varieties if meats , egg, bacon. The list goes on . Some days over 10 choices if breads and rolls , On the edge of town near to the railway station but the walk to the cable cars pleasant passing many super shops . The Obermair is the place to be . I was in the annex which is less than 20 steps away door to door . Not a problem at all

Lovely Hotel

Lovely hotel, very charming pine furnishing, which is what you want when visiting Austria. The room was lovely and a decent size. We stayed in the main part. Breakfast was the usual continental. There was always plenty. Swimming pool and sauna were a bonus, lovely to relax in after a day of walking/hiking. It would have been nice to have a light on the balcony. We're at the back of the hotel. Location is great just at the bottom of the main street, so away from the noise from pubs and restaurants.
