Surrounded by meadows, Lugerhof offers simply furnished rooms with satellite TV. The guest house is 2 km from the centre of Melk and 5 km from the Schallaburg Castle. All rooms come with solid, wooden furniture and a seating area. Each room features a bathroom with a shower. Each day, a freshly prepared breakfast can be enjoyed in the bright breakfast room. You can sunbathe in the garden or on Lugnerhof’s terrace. A shared-use fridge and a coffee machine are available. Activities like hiking and cycling are possible nearby and the closest indoor swimming pool is a 5-minute drive away. St. Pölten can be reached within 25 minutes by car and free public parking is available on site. Please inform Lugerfarm in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. Great holiday at Luger's

We have spent 3 beautiful days at Lugerfarm. Thanks for our hostess, Elisabeth!
The homemade seeded bread, die apfel strudel, copious and healthy breakfasts are unforgettable. The room, kitchen ant bathroom are tidy and clean.

Amazing host!

We really enjoyed staying here. I, my husband and my 11 month old baby felt we are at our grandmum's house. Breakfast was the best during our stay in Austria by far.
As long as you have a car, this is just 5 mins away from Melk town so I strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a comfort stay.

a true gem in the Wachau valley

We stayed two nights with my wife in July. Tired of anonymous run-of-the-mill hotel chains, I decided to book my accommodation for my road trip through Austria in family-run B&Bs. We wanted to visit the Wachau valley and I chose Lugerfarm because of its high ratings on the reservation website. I am happy to report that the high ratings are fully justified. Frau Luger who runs the place with her family will instantly make you feel at home. Super friendly, always smiling, giving useful tips, providing all the necessary information, constantly looking after the guests during the breakfast. The room was cozy, with spotlessly clean bath that had been recently renovated. We had room no. 3 which is relatively small but still quite adequate and the size of the room was more than reflected in the convenient price per night. Our room had a large TV and the whole place also has superfast free WiFi. The true highlight of the stay was the breakfast which had everything I could ask for including great coffee, wide selection of cheese and hams, spreads and home-made jams. Overall, a truly great B&B that is an incredible value for money. I will make sure I visit again whenever I am in the vicinity. Only two general tips to keep in mind. First, Lugerfarm is best suited for guests with cars as the Poeverding is a few kilometers from Melk so transit without a car can be an issue. With a car, the location is pretty good as Melk provides a great entry into the Wachau valley as all the major cycling lanes and ship tours start there and it is easy to park a car as the town is small and not busy. Second, it can get very hot in the summer so watch out for the weather forecast. 30+ degrees in the Wachau valley feel unbearably stifling hot and will limit the range of potential activities.

Lugerfarm - close to Melk, inside the nature

Lugerfarm is a family held farm providing and accommodation. Traveling with the dog it perfectly suited us to stay at such a place - straight next to the fields and forest and in the close distance to the beautiful town Melk with the monastery and many other castles along the river Donau. Some of this places are in the walking distance if You prefer hiking, with the car or bicycle You enjoy Your holiday fully. We were hosted by great people, with the traditional breakfasts - from home made/planted sources - the sweet cakes were simply amazing. They were so nice to us that we really felt like family members at this family farm. Superb place, we liked it much.

Excellent accommodation

We spent two nights at the Lugerfarm, a very positive experience. The township of Pöverding, a few miles outside Melk, is very small and pretty, you can read some interesting information about the place in the information for guests of the b & b. The owner is very kind, the room was very clean and cared as well as the breakfast area. The breakfast is really rich with a wide selection of fresh produce, There is also a good selection of local wines in the cellar.
