A nice traditional Austrian hotel which needs to update it's staff in Customer Service
- Most of the staff (especially reception, room cleaners, breakfast staff) were very helpful and nothing was too much for them.
- Our room was very comfortable.
- The afternoon coffee and cake was a nice idea as it encouraged all residents to relax together in one place.
- The sauna, steam and shower area we very clean and nice.
What was not so enjoyable
- The room shower is integrated with the bath but it is too short (Seems only for a child). I little bit frustrating.
- The man serving at the bar is in the wrong job, or he should be re-trained in Customer Service. His attitide to customers is too formal and unfriendly. You see that not many people sit at the bar, right? Because they don't feel welcome. You will see that your income from the bar is not very high, because people don't like him.
The bar needs to be a place of atmosphere and socialising.
example; I brought my own beer to the evening meal because your hotel doesn't include any drinks. This is not explained when we make the booking. When he arrived to our table, he was very 'sharp' towards me in explaining that i was not allowed to bring my own drink. He was not kind and should have allowed me to finish my drink. As a result, I left my family at the table eating, and I finished my beer in my room. I spent no more money at his bar for the rest of the week.
Example; Someone arrived at the coffee machine for the free coffee one afternoon at 16:55 and he told them in a very unfriendly way to hurry up as the free coffee machine was being switched off.
In my opinion, the person at the bar should always be sociable, kind and friendly. This person needs a special quality where they get to know the customers (Like a good friend). If someone does something wrong, he should be kind, offer a solution and even provide a free drink to show kindness.
Other guests in the hotel also commented on this feeling.
- The swimming pool is 3 degress too cold. Therefore only children use it.
- Childfren make too much noise in the pool, so no-one can relax. A solution to this, is make the pool available to families until 18:00, then make it available to Adults-Only between 18:00 and 21:00.
- The pool and spa is not open long enough. Many people here commented that they want to use the spa and pool after dinner, but it's all closed.
- Afternoon coffee and cake should change every day. People become bored with the same cake. Also offer ice-cream
- For an inclusive evening meal, there is noi warning that drinks are not included. This needs to be made clear on the room reservation page.
- Free water should be available in the hotel at all times. a jug of water should at least be provided at each table for the evening meal.
- The shower water during the day is too cold.
- The evening menu is not varied enough. At least once per week, there should be a buffet. Also, people should be offered a basket of chips (pom fritte).
With a more friendly staff at the bar, things like free water and a variety of cakes, people will then see that you are offering more and exceeding their expectations, then we as customers will spend more money at the bar and recommend you to our friends.
