Location was good, near to train station just maybe a 5-7mins walk. Wifi was really slow... most of the time could not be connected or too weak.

Avoid this hotel – an extremely disappointing experience
Our experience at Hotel Lasserhof was so concerning that we decided not to stay and left shortly after arriving.
The first issue was the lack of secure luggage storage. The luggage area was openly accessible, and there were people lingering around it who did not appear to be storing or collecting luggage. This made us feel uncomfortable leaving our belongings unattended and gave us little confidence that they would be secure.
While waiting in the reception area, a member of staff dragged a baby's cot down the hallway, creating a significant amount of noise. It wasn't the welcoming first impression we expected from a hotel.
The most shocking part of our visit was the public guest toilet. The toilet seat had visible faecal matter on it. This was before we had even checked into a room. If a shared guest bathroom presented to arriving guests was in that condition, it immediately raised serious concerns about the hotel's overall hygiene standards.
When we raised our concerns, the response from the male receptionist was disappointing. Rather than acknowledging the issues and attempting to resolve them professionally, he was dismissive, rude and unwilling to address our concerns. During our discussions about the condition of the hotel and our request for a refund, he made statements that, in our experience, did not accurately reflect what had occurred. This same receptionist in fact lied about us ever checking in! Beware!
Given the lack of secure luggage storage, the unhygienic condition of the guest facilities, the disruptive atmosphere on arrival and the way we were treated, we made the decision not to stay.
To make matters worse, the hotel refused to refund our booking, despite our concerns being raised immediately upon arrival. We felt we were left paying for accommodation that we did not feel comfortable using.
We travel frequently and understand that problems can occasionally occur. However, cleanliness, professionalism and respectful customer service are basic expectations. Unfortunately, our experience at Hotel Lasserhof fell well below those standards.
Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel and would strongly encourage other travellers to consider alternative accommodation in Salzburg.

Lovely central place to stay
Really central location plenty of buses available and about a 5-10 min walk to the train station.
Value for money beds were comfortable.
Room was spacious only thing that let it down was a sewer smell, we ended up buying toilet freshener to mask it. Don't think it was something they could control. Noise level was average, again out of their control but the walls are thin so could hear everything in the next room.
Close to amenities only downfall is that alot of the shops are closed early and on a Sunday.
Atmosphere was lovely we had top floor room with a balcony, air con worked well. Service was good anything that we asked for we had.
Would recommend this hotel staff were really friendly and happy to help.

Rather mixed
This hotel is situated near the train station. Breakfast is nice, wifi works mostly, but spotty, beds are very nice, but: reception is open only until 10 p.m., and sometimes they left already much earlier, leaving new travelers stranded outside. Door was locked already at 8 p.m. at times, with an emergency phone number posted outside. We had a room first with a bathroom with sensor-light which turned off when you took a shower. The toilet did not work, so we could switch to a better room without that sensor-light. The hot water was turned off over night, and it did not come back until ca. 7 a.m. The clerks affirmed repeatedly that this was not a problem, but we just did not have hot water in the early morning

The location is great, but they are not generous in services, bring your stuff with you, don't expect they have alot
