Great visit - perfect little hotel

Loved our stay here. Room for 3 adults was perfect, nice and clean and the lady on reception was more than helpful . Breakfast looked great (we were in a rush so had a very quick bowl of fruit ). We would Definetely stay again.
The hotel is central to all activities, advisable to book if eating out in the evenings, be warned, food orders seem to finish early, roundabout 8.00 ish. Cash is also needed for Salzburg and surrounding areas

Worst three-week Price Quality Ratio in Austria

Our worst Price quality ratio after 3 weeks in Austria.
Very expensive - 750 € for two nights at three.
Breakfast just basic in a country where this is not normally the case, no Service brought by the front desk who gives absolutely no care of his guests, no fridge in the room.
We very much regretted not going elsewhere!

Lovely room and perfect location in St Gilgen

Stayed for one night in June as part of Salzburg trip. Booked this hotel as flights changed giving an extra night and we wanted to experience another area away from the city.
One bed apartment worked for the three adults as it had a double bed and sofa bed in living room area. Looked newly decorated. Everywhere very clean. Pre warning church bells go throughout the night and can be heard but didn’t wake us. We had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
Location is great for everything on offer. Five mins walk to the lake, boat pier and cable car. There is a spa supermarket about 10mins (didn’t need to use)
Would recommend booking restaurants as they all seem to close kitchens early and at times full.
Breakfast was basic but enjoyable.
We left our bags securely during the day so we could explore more before we headed to Salzburg (uber works here fine and is somewhat cheaper than regular taxi there is also a bus)
We found St Gilgen to be slow placed, peaceful with stunning views everywhere you looked. Was great to experience the difference from the busy city of Salzburg

Friendly hard working staff

The very few staff which are working there are very friendly and helpful and dobthe best they can to make the guest feel welcome.
The room and the public areas are very clean . Check in and check out worked well.
There is no bathing reserve for the hotel guests.
The room was very small and did not have a balcony as in the description, the window was unhinged and jammed , there is not even one chair in the room to sit down
The breakfast buffet is of very low quality with cheap as possible cheese smallgoods ,warm juices, lousy coffee , unripe fruit and portion control plastic jams of poor quality.
For the prices charged its poor value for money .

Highly Recommend the Wonderful Radetzky Restaurant!

I can not recommend this hotel/restaurant enough! My family and I had forgotten to make dinner reservations upon our arrival into another nearby St Gilgen hotel. Our own hotel was not able to accommodate us and we were told we would now not be able to find a place for dinner. My husband inquired at Restaurant Radetzky and the sweet hostess/chef Katrina Velrova brought our party of nine (!) into her beautifully designed restaurant. With sweet smiles, she and her daughter Valentina, along with one additional sweet girl from Spain, served us a delicious dinner and dessert. It was a wonderful evening and we left well-fed and more than happy that we'd found this little spot! I can not speak for the hotel rooms since we did not stay at this hotel but I would not be surprised if they were very well-cared because of the character of Katrina and her husband (whom I met the next day). I could not recommend Restaurant/Hotel Radetzky more!
