Good choice

We stayed at the hotel twice.. Located on the edge of town, super quiet and clean. We could store our bikes in the garage. We can only recommend this place!
A little review: Coffee could be better.

Always my pleasure!

This was the second time we've been to the Hotel Sonne as a couple (my husband has been there before) and, after trying other things, we can only say: TOP! Mr. Waldner is very friendly and if you need something, he's there. The breakfast is great and Mr. Walder personally makes sure that guests get everything they need. It's a shame that the Walder family can only offer breakfast.
But thanks to the central location, you can get to the local restaurants quickly and it's not far to the ski lift in the morning.
This year we had a clean room again with a perfect view of the ski slope - thank you again for that! Mr. Walder turned on the steam bath especially for us and the infrared cabin was a hit.
We can only recommend this small, fine hotel and would be happy to come back next time

Great location, comfortable, clean and good breakfast

A great location, only a few minutes walk from the town centre and right next to the gondola for access to the Kitzbuehelerhorn.
The Sonne is clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is just what you need to set you up for a day walking

Cozy quaint and typically Austrian Gasthaus

Very quite. Very cozy. Very traditional. They do not accept Amex. The breakfast is good but nothing special. It suit my purposes and I would stay there again because it suited my needs. Not ideal for families and not ideal if you are looking for larger rooms

ideal location for slopes . great value

I read the other reviews before booking and they were all fair and accurate. Good recommendation to take your own English tea ;)
lovely breakfast to set you up for the day.
we had a triple room for us and young son. It had a bath too which was welcome at the end of a ski day.
host provided us with a local tourist card which allowed free travel on bus and train in the area as well as free entrance to the local pool which was a 10 min walk away so that was an unexpected treat.
price quality could not be beaten for the proximity to the cable car and slopes.
