Lovely and peaceful.

A lovely and peaceful place to stay. It is cute and quiet and feels like a home away from home. A room had everything we needed, and a nice relaxing area right outside the room. It is within walking distance from the monastery and restaurants. The owners are very friendly and speak excellent English. A wonderful place to stay when visiting Tatev.

Delightful guesthouse in quiet village

We were warmly welcomed with coffee and cake. The quality of the accommodation exceeded our expectations. The rooms are luxurious and comfortably furnished. The beds are lovely. The living room (covered) is attractive and relaxed. In the beautiful garden there is another corner where you can sit relaxed and in the evening a campfire is lit. Highly recommended!

Ideal for a longer stay in Tatev

The village of Tatev doesn’t look like it had good quality accommodation, but it does! Old Tatev Guesthouse is in very good shape, it has a nice shady terrace in a pretty garden where the friendly hosts will serve delicious thyme tea or coffee with cookies for free! A great area to hang out.
Our room was spacious with very comfortable beds and air conditioning in case it gets too hot or cold - we experienced both during the 5 days of our stay. The only downside was the shower that provided little more than a trickle.
Otherwise we were absolutely happy, the host speaks English, breakfast was plenty and good, they even made sure to offer some variety during our stay.
We loved Tatev as a starting point for the monastery, hiking and the cable car in spectacular scenery, but also for trips to the south - Meghri - and other places.

Very good

See very nice little guesthouse. Approximately 700 m and therefore within walking distance of the monastery via a gravel road. Very nice owners. Lovingly decorated small rooms with good beds. Very nicely designed general area. Great breakfast.

The BEST place to stay in Tatev!!

I had a wonderful time at Old Tatev Guest House! The owner Vagho is an incredibly kind and generous man! And he know everything about this region and area, so he can guide you and give adivices about exploring around. I had some really nice chat with him. His mother is also a lovely lady! The garden is simply gorgeous and so peaceful! The house is also very beautiful and everything sets together perfectly! The whole place is all very charming and traditional at the same time, giving you a very nice Armenian feeling. I recommend this place 100%! Thank you Vagho and your mum for eveything!
