Very nice hotel

Nice hotel, the rooms are large and have everything you need.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel and rooms are well maintained and clean.
The breakfast buffet is very rich and with Lifecooking, who doesn't get fed up there, did something wrong.
The spa area (we were only in the swimming pool) is good.
We had a relaxing and nice holiday there.
I would like to mention the good transport links, you don't need to drive through the city to reach the hotel, you are with then bike or bus fast in the staft. On foot it takes about 20-30 min. to the city center.

Wellness hotel with comments

My son (6 years old) and I stayed at the Aquarius for 4 nights.
It is a very nice, clean, modern hotel. The rooms are very large and equipped with everything you need, even bathrobes for me and my child, which I thought was great. We used almost everything, the console room, the children's entertainment, the bathroom, the sauna, the playground, the playrooms in the basement, we had fun with everything.
The food (half board) was fantastic. A big compliment to the kitchen. The dishes were varied and very well seasoned. The champagne machine at breakfast was also great. There are always things that you haven't seen in other hotels before - e.g. a champagne machine :o)
At the first dinner I asked which drinks were included with the meals. I was told water and coffee. At the first dinner a waiter came to our table and asked about the drinks. I ordered a glass of wine for myself and a glass of water for my child, assuming that I only had to pay for the glass of wine.
When I checked out, however, I was charged for both. The water and coffee are only free if you get the drinks from the machine yourself. As soon as the waiter brings you the drinks, you have to pay. You are not told that.
The location was also good, Kollberg is very spacious, I was glad that we had the scooter for my son so I could push him from one end of Kollberg to the other.
In Kolberg, it must be said that nothing is free. Every public toilet costs at least 1 euro, even the pier charges admission. In places with a tourist tax, this should actually be freely accessible.
The parking situation was unfortunately catastrophic due to 2 public holidays a week. The place was hopelessly overcrowded with tourists.
Unfortunately, the Aquarius only has very expensive underground parking spaces. That's why I decided to park on the street. On May 1st, parking was free because of the holiday, but I was parked 3 streets away. The next day I moved to a parking lot opposite the hotel. The next challenge was the parking machines, which were only in Polish. My debit card didn't work on the machine, so I had to change money in the hotel to feed the parking machine with coins (50 zloty / day). The next day, when I wanted to get coins in the lobby for the day ticket, the receptionist said that there were no parking fees because of the holiday and the upcoming weekend.
I was happy at first. A day later we walked past the car and unfortunately I noticed that there were two parking tickets on the window (2x250 zloty, i.e. 100 euros).
The parking tickets are completely in Polish and refer to an address in the middle of a residential area for payment; there was no office where you could pay a parking ticket.
I have already sent three emails to the company, but have not received a reply yet.
Unfortunately, this completely ruined the rest of my vacation. As compensation, because the tip came from the receptionist, the hotel gave me a free underground parking space for the last day.
Unfortunately, I have to say that because of this experience, I will not be going back to Poland for the time being. Because I don't even know what will happen if I don't pay the parking tickets.

Wir freuen uns, dass Sie unser Abendessen in Buffetform genossen haben. Ich habe dem Küchenchef ein Kompliment gesagt. Es tut mir leid, dass es beim Abendessen ein Missverständnis wegen der Wasserbestellung gab.
Richtig, Wasser, das beim Kellner bestellt wird, ist kostenpflichtig. Wir werden der Kommunikation in diesem Bereich mehr Aufmerksamkeit widmen.
Der Eintritt zum Pier ist kostenlos für Personen, die Kurtaxe bezahlt haben. Am Eingang der Anlegestelle müssen Sie die Rechnung mit der bezahlten Kurtaxe vorzeigen.
Es tut mir sehr leid, dass Sie ein Mandat erhalten haben. Die Rezeptionistin, die Ihnen Informationen über die Parkplätze gegeben hat, hat Ihnen die richtigen Informationen gegeben. Die Parkplätze vor dem Hotel nutzen Sie an den Feiertagen kostenfrei.
Der Parkplatz, den Sie in der Bewertung erwähnen, ist an allen Tagen der Woche rund um die Uhr gebührenpflichtig. Diese Information finden Sie an der Einfahrt zum Parkplatz. An Parkuhren können Sie die Sprache auf Deutsch oder Englisch ändern.

It’s a great weekend getaway with kids. The pool area is amazing, there is a very nice playground and the rooms are spacious and modern. Breakfast is good but small things like one person having 2 pans making omelets to hundreds of breakfast guests is just a puzzle and something easily sorted. Our biggest objection is language. We had a hard time communicating with the staff at the hotel which was a bit unexpected from a hotel which brands themselves as 5 star. Overall we can recommend the hotel, the positives by far outweigh the negatives and especially for kids it’s a great hotel.

Great hotel

Great hotel for a summer holiday. Rooms, restaurant, service, food and cleanliness at the highest level. A bit expensive but worth it. Underground parking, swimming pools, children's zone, everyone will find something for themselves here. It's a 5-minute walk to the beach. I recommend it

Very devious hotel

I booked two rooms here through Booking.com for an agreed cost. Booked 2 days before travel and from within Poland.
Once I arrived here (I say here because I am still here) I find the hotel have added £30 to each room.
I complained to booking.com who contacted the hotel to enquire. The hotel refused outright to amend the price.
This is a disappointment since I have stayed here many times before but as a matter of principle I will never stay here again.
Their GREED has lost them a returning customer.
There are plenty of other good hotels on the northern coast.

Dear Sir, Thank you for your next stay at the hotel. According to the personal conversation that took place on the day of your departure, I would like to inform you that the hotel has not charged more funds than those that appeared on the booking confirmation. As I have already explained, banks often charge a commission for currency conversion and transactions in a currency other than PLN. On the booking.com page there is information that „You will pay the hotel in the hotel’s local currency (PLN). The displayed amount (in GBP) is indicative and based on today’s exchange rate.” The hotel has taken payment in PLN and hence the discrepancy in payment, but here the hotel is not at fault. Please explain this situation with your bank. We also received a message from the Booking.com portal, which after checking our bills, does not see any grounds for a refund.
I hope that other aspects of your stay made up for this inconvenience. If you want to give us another chance, I will personally make sure that all negative aspects of your last visit will be erased and that your next stay at AQUARIUS SPA Hotel***** will meet all your expectations.
