Excellent Polish food experience
At first I wasn't really sure about this place because, while it was fairly busy, it is in an absolutely superb location. You can eat directly on the promenade with a view over the lake and there is also a slightly raised area for a better view.
The pictures on the menu looked a bit...meh.
But we went for it. Nice night, hungry, how bad can it be?
It can be absolutely brilliant, is what it can be.
The service was absolutely superb, even though it was just kids with occasional oversight by seniors. Smiling, multi-lingual, suggestions and recommendations and tolerant of the indecisive tourists.
The menu offers a range of traditional Polish cuisine as well as some generic options. Very little for vegetarians outside of a few salads and no vegan options at all that I could see, but we didn't ask. Given how accommodating the staff were I have nol doubt options would be made available.
But the quality of the food - and all four of us had different options - was impressive. Rich, succulent, flavourful and big, hearty portions. Cooked to perfection.
Plenty of decent options on drinks as well.
Prices were great, even in a prime location like this.
Sitting inside is amusing with the mini stage and occasional live acts too.

Wouldn’t recommend/ go back
Good position. The positives rather stop there. My primary gripe was the surliness of the young female staff who, to a person, tried to demonstrate that they didn’t want to be there, or at the very least didn’t want to be dealing with non-Polish speakers. (The cleaning staff, and the guy on reception at night were perfectly pleasant by the way.) Rooms not completely clean (dust on top of skirting board, but I can get over that). WiFi didn’t appear to work anywhere. My kids liked the pool but it can hardly be described as a swimming pool, but more of a plunge pool for after sauna. Then at check-out my two credit cards were rejected, complete with a snarl from the receptionist. I was in a bit of a panic so rang my bank: nothing wrong with the cards themselves.
All in all, the place isn’t good enough for the money. And the girls in the bar / restaurant might ask themselves whether hospitality is the vocation for them.

Attitude
We recently had a 6 Night Stay with another Couple. We found the Amenities, Location, Spa & Breakfast, First Class & Excellent Value. However having waited to be Acknowledged by the Waitress's on the first Evening for over 40 Minutes was not satisfactory, especially as the Restaurant wasn't busy. We subsequently Ate out every Evening. The Attitude with the Management/Staff in the other Establishments was Professional & their Happy Attitude was the opposite to the Waiting Staff at the Hotel.

local, fresh and tasty food
Food is really great, very traditional and honest. Ingredients are fresh and the chef certainly know how to use them. Before you will have your food you will get a bread, smalec and pickles (all done by restaurant) and this is free of charge. Service is really great. Location is amazing and the building itself has few interesting features. Great place to eat and stay longer for few drinks if ones wish to.

Great Location, average room and food
I am stuck between giving an average or good rating. I choose average as even though the lake shore location is great a few things let it down. The room was spacious and reasonably clean, but there could have been a bit more attention to detail. Our room overlooked the parking (there were none with lake views due to a block booking for a wedding), but was not overly noisy. The service on the terrace restaurant was a little slow and the food average. The buffet breakfast could have had a bit more variety and been topped up more regularly. I will give the benefit of the doubt and say that perhaps things and staff were a bit overstretched due to wedding preparations, although I suppose that is part of the job and should be organised in a way that does not impact on other guests
