Great location!
Self service luggage store for extra charge.
Service was ok.
Room was nice and spacious.
Location close to station was great! Easy access by EuroStar train and local public transport. However, the area has lots of homeless people living on streets. There are also piles of trashes on the streets.

Decent place to get your head down
The location is very close to Brussels Midi and you can walk to the city centre within half an hour. this is a good place to book if just want to lay your head down.
I was in a four person dorm and it was very cramped, there was no where to put my suitcase.
the hotel itself is clean, bright, modern and the staff are friendly. it was quiet. there are lockers to store your bag after you check out but you do have to pay.

The worst
First we couldn’t even get a sandwich to go outside for a trip if we wanted to go to a trip and we didn’t have food we would love to get a sandwich from the hotel b it they can’t let us!

A great welcome, relaxed vibe and quiet room
A great stay from arrival (late in the evening - about 10pm) onwards. Especially good kudos for the welcome which was so enthusiastic we couldn't help feeling positive before we'd even set foot in our room. Very welcome too was the opportunity to buy a toothbrush as I'd forgotten mine!
It's great to have a guest kitchen, downstairs areas to relax, 24h reception and (limited) food service. It made us feel we had a space to sit that wasn't our room. The hotel courtyard felt secure and welcoming to sit outside in.
One worry you might have for a hotel that claims to offer hotel comfort with a backpacker vibe might be noise. I can't speak for every room, but out 2nd floor room was almost silent - we had no disturbance at all from noise.
We didn't try the breakfast buffet - it looked good but there's plenty of places around if it isn't for you.
Our first experience of Meininger. We chose it because it seemed to be the best value way to get a room in Brussels and didn't know what to expect, but I'm now very happy to go back to one. Which is lucky as we're booked into another later on in our trip!

Ideal location for railway station
Just for an early train departure booked this hotel last minute. It’s ok. Nice room, friendly staff superb location.
