Pleasantly impressed
Reading previous reviews I was a bit apprehensive about booking this hotel. I've been to Albufeira many times but normally stayed towards the strip. As I was coming with a couple of friends who'd never visited Albufeira I thought this would be a good place as a starting point to explore everything.
The hotel in fact exceeded my expectations considering the price we had paid. We were based in the main building, everything was smart and clean in the main reception area and communal spaces. Our rooms albeit slightly dated were not as bad at all as expected, I shared a room with a friend and it was spacious and tidy. There was plenty of room for 2 guests. Our bathroom was large with a huge shower, the room was tidied daily along with a towel change.
We had breakfast included with our stay and everything was fresh with plenty of options to suit everyone, the one thing that was a slight minus point for me was the coffee! I really didn't enjoy it but my friends were fine with it.
They have a nice bar area on floor 1 which we visited a few times, had lots of tvs with sport on and also decent background music. I believe a pint of lager was about 3 euros. I didn't try any other drinks but they seemed to have a list for cocktails etc.
The pool area was fabulous, it's in the sunshine all day long which is a big plus point. The pool was huge, the loungers albeit dated did the job.
All in all I had a great visit here and would visit again in a heartbeat if I was able to get a decent deal. Hats off to the professional staff and how clean everything was.

Split stay in both buildings
I have just returned from a 4 night break of which 3 were in the main building and 1 in beach building. Im going to start by reviewing the main building set across the road from the beach.
Main building: We chose a solarium room with large sun terrace,sun loungers with parasol. Room was clean and spacious although dated.Large separate shower room with selection of basic toiletries.Air con worked very well and quiet.Safe is free just ask for key.Overlooks the pool across the road.No tea making facilities but we emailed hotel and asked and happy to say it was in our room on arrival.The breakfast is basic but unfortunately not hot as nothing used to keep hot.Bar is more of a lounge with 2 large tvs showing football.Very small selection of drinks available although very reasonably priced for a hotel(see menu in photos).Wine only available by full or half bottles.This is the bar for both hotels after 6pm.If you like to eat in hotel for dinner in the evening then thats served here again for both hotels.We moved rooms to the beach building due to a stag party in the next rooms to us,kept us awake throughout the night & early hours but staff very helpful and didnt charge us to upgrade to a sea view room in the beach hotel.
Beach hotel: Much more modern interior.Room we had was clean and balcony overlooking the beach front. Room was ok size wise but no separate bathroom.The bathroom with large walk in shower was in the room but with glass screen around,frosted in places for privacy,probably no good if you dont know your room mate well! No tea making in these rooms either.Free digital safe.Breakfast room is light and airy but food was luke warm again due to nothing keeping it warm.Theres a bar and snack bar out the back overlooking the beach serving guests and anyone else passing by,open till 6pm.The time might change in high season,nowhere to get any drinks after 6pm otherwise.Staff friendly and helpful here too.
In my opinion id say the beach hotel is the nicer of the two but it does mean walking across and up the road for the pool or evening drinks.

A good surprise
This hotel was a real surprise to me. We liked the rooms, good size and very clean. The restaurant is very good, with quality food and very variable. I want to thank the restaurant staff for all the support and help, which they gave me due to my food intolerance, were spectacular.
One of the many benefits of this hotel is also having parking.

Bad
Location was good but this place is a mess. We get here and are told check in isn’t till 4 pm. They don’t have beach towels or cards for us to get in and out. They don’t offer to take our suitcases and store them. Then 4pm comes and they waste a half hour with someone about if they got breakfast or not and there are 6 couples waiting for their rooms in the lobby. There are birds nests under the overhang of the roof and bird poop everywhere. For almost ca 300 a night?? No way first and last time. It’s non refundable so if you leave you’re paying anyway so the got you.

Inatel, Inatel...
It's a kind of hotel, but it has to function as such. When you arrive with a reservation made on the foundation’s website and get guys with a group of Inatel members for check-in, no one thinks they’ll stay in that queue for long minutes, but they stay. It is rare the hotel where this happens and when it happens is because something fails in the back office and there is no vision to discourage guests who do not fit into such a group.

5th floor elevator (2) narrow and that get full only with the trolleys.
Room wide, with noisy air conditioning, fridge bar, complete wc, two relatively comfortable beds.
View: This was worth. Exhausted.
Pool: Excellent of great that is. But... will it close on the 2nd in the morning? But where do you see this in a hotel? Support bar: start closing the task at 17:50h? This in June may be different for the next two months.
Dinner: very well served buffet and very varied for breakfast.
Sympathy of all employees.
Back? Maybe, as long as they don't become hostages of the time excursionist Fnat.
