Rest days in Pedrogão
Very good experience, thank you! A 4-day stay with everything you need. Space with a shared kitchen, with refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, coffee machine, microwave. Shared living room with a small desk, sofa and TV. Full room, double bed, air conditioning, toilet with bathtub and cute towels. Outdoor space with pool, chairs and barbecue. Space located in a friendly village, with white houses characteristic of Alentejo and where everyone greets in the street. Thanks for the experience.

When we made our Reservation, we mentioned that we needed a lot of rest and that it was a little weekend break we were doing.
However, our stay at Casa de Pedrogão passed from quiet and quiet to a blank night.
Yeah, there was a party in the village that started at 7:00 and ended at 6:00 in the morning!
At 8:00 we had the launch of rockets and at 11:00 the philharmonic band passed. Now we understand that each land has its traditions and customs and its inhabitants ⁇ enjoy the feast during the night due to the heat and rest during the day.
We were deeply dissatisfied with our stay because we understood that the hostess should have alerted us to this situation and asked if we wanted to make the Reservation or not under these conditions.
Those who run a mainly local accommodation business should be more sensitive to the needs of their guests and not blame the municipality for authorizing the party.
But rather assume that in the days there is party or closes the door or then there will be guests who will be very dissatisfied with your Reservation and who will not return or recommend the accommodation, as is our case.
The cleaning was also another weak point, despite the house being well decorated and having good conditions. There was hair in the toilet, the glass in all the divisions had fingerprints, the pool was green on the edge, the outdoor shower didn't work, the toaster full of crumbs, oven and microwave dirty, aspects to improve.

Worst service
I've looked at the comments to see if the lady who answers the phone is rude every day or only when I call (I'm going to assume it's the owner, because anyone else would certainly have been fired). After reading the comments and seeing a mix of reviews about the service, I am convinced that you are specifically useless for those who make an appointment through Odysseys.
Story Time!!!
Two friends offered me a voucher to Casa de Pedrógão because they had already been there and liked it.
I went to the Odysseys website and searched for some convenient dates. Any date I selected, a red message appeared saying that the dates were not available. All dates. Including less desirable months and dates more than 1 year in advance. I thought...wow, this place must be really good.
I tried booking and although I also found dates that were occupied, I found dates that were available - strange.
I decided to call and now the situation has only gotten worse.
To begin with, they answered me with a "yes?" , I thought I had called the wrong number. Recommendation: Casa Pedrógão, good morning. (Hmmm. Basic, right? Minimum..) .
Anyway, there I confirmed that I hadn't called a random lady and explained my situation (or tried!).
I started by saying that I had an Odisseias voucher and that I was trying to make an appointment but that all the dates were showing as unavailable. The lady, interrupting me and in a raised voice says: but that's not the case! That's not how you brand yourself!!
Hey, I don't know, maybe I missed something. Is it general culture? Is there a subject at school that teaches you how to score odysseys? Surely there must be an explanation for this reaction.
I said, calmly (I don't know how) that I had almost given up and that perhaps it would be better for the business if this was made more explicit on the Odysseys website.
I was interrupted again with the same answer and asked how I could make an appointment.
I was told to say dates and after a few tries I was told that I couldn't use one night odysseys on the weekend and that I would have to pay for more nights or alternatively book during the week.
I then asked if I could send an email with some dates and the lady replied yes.
End of this call.
Weeks (or months) later, I send an email asking if there were any vacancies between June 10th and 14th. I sent an email on March 20th.
On April 5th, with no response to the email, I decided to call.
I was answered by the same voice and with the same greeting as the first time.
I asked if they were available on the dates mentioned and they told me "during holidays we only accept bookings for a minimum of 3 nights". Of course.
I thanked her and asked if the email I had was correct, she confirmed. I explained that I was asking because I hadn't gotten an answer to the last one, to which she replied: yes, but now she has an answer.
Say what?
The conclusion is that in addition to leaving bad reviews everywhere, I'm going to send an email to the odysseys. These details should be made clear to whoever buys it because this voucher would certainly not have been purchased if that had been the case.

Casa de Pedrogão: o desejavel reduto da hotelaria aosbtejana
Fomos recebidos em jeito familiar pela estimada Helena. Todo o espaço condiz com isso mesmo, orientação familiar: desde a disposição das dependências da casa (sala de estar semore aberta e ligada ao hall de entrada dá logo o "cheirinho" domestico/casa de campo. A cozinha e a piscina (cujo acesso é justamente através da própria cozinha) convidam naturalmente à tertúlia com os demais presentes, numa socialização cada vez mais rara numa sociedade cada vez mais de "poucas paiavras". Ah: o ar condicionado funciona muito bem, graças a deus, verdadeira bênção nos dias de sol alentejano intenso. Em suma: delicioso!
