Our second visit and it reconfirmed our opinion that this is an excellent boutique hotel in a beautiful building, huge spacious room and modern bathroom
Hotel sits on a large quiet square.
Our flight from Terceira was delayed by 11 hours and we finally arrived at 00.30hrs to be met by the ever cheerful owner.
There is a

Generous breakfast with high quality food
We will stay here again

A small boutique hotel in a beautiful old building. We had a large room with a small balcony overlooking an attractive but quiet square. The breakfast was generous and of good quality. The hotel is a very short walk to the centre of town and an ideal base for a short visit. Very glad we chose to stay there again at the end of our island hopping trip.

Early check-in and late check-out without any problems. Great breakfast. We‘ll definitely be back!

Incredibly loud and unenjoyable stay.

Incredibly soundproof accommodation!! We could hardly sleep, as the noises from the guests in the neighboring room sounded and felt like construction noises. The guests certainly behaved as quietly as possible after 11 PM, but every step, every movement, and every turn in bed made our room vibrate. Additionally, the massive entrance door on the ground floor, which falls heavily into the lock when closed, is indescribably loud and disturbing. Here, one also stands in bed.
The building itself is historic and beautiful, but in our opinion, it is more suited as a museum. Breakfast was served to us early in the morning (before the actual breakfast time), which was kind. However, just one bag of "decaf coffee powder" was not really helpful.
After a week of pure nature and tranquility on the island, this night was a complete disaster.
