Elegance and Comfort in the Portuguese Countryside.
A stunning location and property with a hostess committed to your comfort and enjoyment. Food was terrific and ambiance was unbeatable. An old estate palace completely renovated for comfort. One really feels a part of the Portugal countryside.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING MARRIED HERE!!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND CASA DE QUINTÃ FOR WEDDINGS OR ANY OTHER EVENT.
I got married here and, unfortunately, despite the space having potential, the experience with the management, particularly with Ms. Maria Manuela, left us deeply disappointed.
To start, THE PRICES SEEM TO VARY FROM CLIENT TO CLIENT without any clear criteria.
We paid about €200 per person and later learned of other weddings held in the same year, at the same time, with the same menu and scheduled with only a few weeks' difference, where the price charged was about €175 per person.
The same happened with several other services.
Initially, the value of €1,800 was requested for the exterior lights. Later this value went to €900. Later we learned that the same lights had been offered at another wedding. When we confronted D. Maria Manuela with this situation, they also ended up offering us the insights.
Another episode that I consider absolutely UNACCEPTABLE happened with the rooms.
Our guests were charged €150 per room. However, the fifth did not block the reservations on Booking and some guests managed to book exactly the same rooms through the platform for about €90.
Result? Some of our guests felt that it was us, the newlyweds, who were adding €60 to the room price, which put us in an extremely unpleasant and embarrassing situation.
To make matters worse, we also learned that in another wedding, they charged €100 per room, not the €150 that was charged to our guests.
Regarding the decoration, we were initially told that we would have flowers included. In practice, WE DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO ANY FLOWERS and we had to hire and pay a separate florist.
And here one of the situations that shocked me the most happened. After our dinner, THE FLOWERS THAT WE PAID TO OUR FLORIST WERE COLLECTED AND USED IN THE WEDDING THE NEXT DAY.
Without us having been asked for authorization.
We are talking about decoration paid for by us, for OUR wedding, which was later used at another event. For me, this is completely inadmissible.
Regarding the rooms, some are in conditions that I consider absolutely incompatible with the price charged. We had guests who didn't even want to take a bath because of the state of the bathtub. I went to the room personally to confirm and the bathtub was extremely degraded, with rust and an obvious lack of maintenance.
When we addressed the subject, D. Maria Manuela's answer was that it was a "little palace" and that it was normal. For me, being an old building IS NOT an excuse for lack of maintenance and inadequate conditions in a room for which they charge €150 per night.
The garden, on the day of our wedding, was also quite poorly maintained.
Another point I find difficult to understand in a venue that hosts weddings of this size is the fact that, for guests dining outdoors, there is only ONE restroom for men and women.
The service during dinner was also far below expectations. There were times when food was already being served and there were still guests who hadn't even been served wine.
When you pay around €200 PER PERSON, it is legitimate to expect a service worthy of that price.
In the set, we left with the feeling that there is a huge concern with charges and extras, but not always the same level of concern with the service provided, with the maintenance of the space, or with the experience of the bride and groom and the guests.
My experience with D. Maria Manuela was particularly negative. There were too many situations where the values and conditions presented were changing, and this made us completely lose confidence in the management.
In the middle of all this hustle and bustle and everything that didn't go well, I want, however, to leave a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Mr. Fernando and the Orchid.
There were two absolutely fabulous people with us, always available, nice, caring, and human. They truly deserve my congratulations for the way they work and the way they treat people. I feel sorry for, based on my perception throughout the entire process, that you have often had to deal with and submit to management situations and decisions that will certainly not always be easy to work with. They are, without a doubt, two of the people we cherish from this experience and I sincerely hope their professionalism is recognized.
For all this, I DO NOT RECOMMEND CASA DE QUINTÃ for holding a wedding.

Absolutely fabulous
Did not have the opportunity to stay here as we were on a river cruise. However, Avalon Waterways had an excursion to this Quinta and it was fabulous. The tour was lead by the outgoing Countess Maria, owner of this estate. This is much more than a farm visit. The manor is welcoming and beautiful, the vineyards, orchards and grounds gorgeous, the wine tasting delicious, the history and story told by Countessa Maria heartwarming and unforgettable.

Christmas lunch with friends Sunday very nice and quiet
Beautiful and pleasant space, magnificent sun, excellent food good quality, very friendly staff always accessible. Easy parking. Interior and exterior Christmas decoration, very beautiful. Fair quality price ratio.
