NoFear Hostel La Paz
Clean, comfortable beds, breakfast (toast,jam,tee, coffee,bananas).
Very helpful guys at the counter, especially Javier (English speaking wikipedia of La Paz), he gives us many tips for visiting nice place in the area, help us organize trip to Uyuni.....

Terrible experience
Everything was fine for the first two days until I went on a 2-day trip to Huayna Potosi. Before leaving, I asked the owner if I could store my big bag and book the same dorm bed for when I came back. He confirmed both were fine and said he would reserve it for me.
When I returned, completely exhausted after climbing a +6000m peak, he told me the dorm was full and no private room was available. When I asked how that was possible, his only answer was “I’m sorry” while patting my shoulder. Totally unacceptable.
Then, when I finally found an other hostel,I realized I had forgotten my limited-edition Colombia football jersey in the room. I came back to ask if they found it — I was 100% sure I had left it there. At first, the owner said no, then later messaged me saying they did find it. I was relieved — until he later said he didn’t know where the cleaning lady had left it. I went back as he asked the day after, only to be told again that nobody knew where it was. After several mixed messages and wasted time, I never got my shirt back.
To make things worse, when I expressed my frustration at reception, the staff told me, “In the end, you’re responsible for your belongings.” That’s not how you talk to guests. I happens to everyone to forget something.
Moral of the story: don’t trust verbal promises about room reservations, and never forget anything in your room — you’ll probably never see it again. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and zero professionalism

A little scam with currencies ...
The hotel offers advice on the road to death, with guides at a good price.
Unfortunately, we have encountered an unpleasant problem regarding payment. At the time of booking, the amount was indicated in euros. However, they later converted it into dollars, and it was specified that we could pay by card. But when we wanted to pay by card, they told us that the machine did not work for payments in euros, only in bolivianos.
When we offered to pay in cash in bolivianos, they told us that it would be more expensive, because according to them, the reservation had to be paid in dollars. However, this condition was communicated to us after they accepted our reservation in euros. This is not correct.
They then demanded that we withdraw money from the bank in euros or dollars. Moreover, they did not use the exchange rate set by the bank, but the street rate, which is unfair.
It was clear that they knew we were right, but they took advantage of our status as foreigners and our youth to try to scam us.
